use a tick picker covering ticks in stuff like petrolium jelly or simmilar makes them spew the contents back into the host , if the ticks infected it could mean the host becomes infected http://www.bada-uk.org/defence/removal/indextickremoval.php

Take the meat to the kits in the nest just put in a little bit more than you know they will realistically eat, then even the smaller ones get a chance to have a decent feed, i would have a quick look after around half hour of feeding & check if theres still any eating , if they look contented & fairly quiet i would remove any leftovers then.

Not sure to be honest but what ever the overall colour weather its silver sandy or poley they tend to have the red eyes that you can see in certain lights , they all have the white on them somewhere, either feet toes top of the head or insides off the knees

we have got a real mixed lot this year, the jill is sandy and the hob a poly, the three silver kits are all quite pacthy and a couple of the poly kits have got white socks and bibs with white blobs on there bellys, they are so cute i would love to keep them all this year but id be over run. gonna just hold back a couple for my own stock. il be holding onto the silver and black kit as the missis has fallen head over hills in love with it. If you have a good look at the poleys with the white feet there eyes should be ruby red not black
