i know with my terrier she '' felt old'' in the last 2 or 3 years of her life, she had grey in her muzzle from about 2 yrs old as did my lurcher , so i think in some cases it may be rather difficult

if these kits indeed have a high percentage of polecat in them then kate as a breeder has a responcibility to ensure they are plased in very carefully selected homes, i really dont reccomend they go to anyone with no experience of hybrids , they arnt my cup of tea personally but i know the colour alone will attract all sorts of people but i just feel she has bred '' mixed up'' accidents waiting to happen , there little time bombs , neither one thing or another Best of luck in homing them Kate

To be honest i dont think you can base the progeny on eating slugs & scraping saw dust into the bedding area, i have seen ferrets do both the things you describe , what limited experience i have with polecats is they behave very diffrently , they skulk, they dont crap in one place & i think most importently they dont smell the same as ferrets , and of course there nocturnal generally What i will say is if these kits are 75% polecat then as they grow they will no doubt behave differently to a ferret, so homing them is going to be hard , making sure whoever takes them is 100% , they

Ye the other hob kit has but hes been sold now but the hob that im keeping has started doing it. Jills are fine with it though If the sucking makes her ears sore just use a saline solution to bathe them, dont use anything like dettol on them as the kits likely to injest it & it contains phenol thats poisonious to ferrets

Ear sucking & chewing is common in kits, watch he isnt making the jills ears sore & scabby

My bitch was very skitty when i got her, i crated her from the first day , gave her that security & a place to retreat to away from the other bitch (terrier) 16 month later she is a different dog , cheeky & very loving, just be patient with her, she has to get used to her new home & surroundings Good luck with her
