You seem to be making good progress with her... keep at it .. imo ferrets or any animal for that matter respond to kind handling rather than some of the other methods people sometimes use

Snaps its the first time i have used the 300m lens since i got the other one & i am so glad i had it on as the woodpecker would have been impossible It was just to far away & i know if i had moved the bugger would have gone not the best of pics but its taken me a year to get that & i am happy for now Thanks for the comments

I am not sure how long before the jills vulva goes back to normal if its been implanted .. i might ask a lady who had a jill done a few weeks back & see if hers swolen after implant cheers thanks for that kay, Adrian at Ashleigh vets Mcr wasnt able to speak to me today ,i am ringing him monday to ask how long before it will go down or if this is even normal i have tried getting onto (fff) but cant for some reason as i know a few people have had their ferrets implanted & posted about it, my diary will be like a dissertation, i may even bind it lol the vet did say that when use

Roughing up. nose flicking all very negative approaches & onion is a toxin to ferrets ....... i thought it was 2010 pretty crap advice to be handing out

Allow the jill time to settle in... she will come round in time... if she is entire it could also be hormonal changes

can you elaborate regarding future breeding ?? & what age do the manufacturers reccomend the implant ? it seems to me my vet is singing the prasies of this implant for reasons of finacial rather than welfare ?? maybe wrong but mine are only 8 months old & according to your post too young to be implanted , yet the vet didnt mention minimum ages & i told him mine are only young & i dont want to breed from my ferrets, my hob is in a season & my jill came into season in december ( now out of season ) does that mean she is ok to be implanted or is she still too young any in
