8. Just a few photos i took earlier.. saw my first red deer for the best part of 6 weeks .. 2 hinds & a young one ... a few dragonflies as the blue one i want to get has evaded me again & this white fluffy stuff no idea what it is but its like a sea of white in places so i shinned a few fences to get closer
9. if its sunny they will be flitting about .. what i have learned from watching them is they do a circuit almost & tend to stop on the same few reeds there really quick but once yo have sussed out which reeds there likely to land on you can usually get a half decent photo
10. i wouldn't feed them as a staple but see no harm in feeding as part of there diet .. i stopped feeding them as the bulk of there food as i found they developed coughs which i put down to the fluff irritating there gullets
11.

Yes thats a damsel fly have you seen the red ones ?

no I havn't seen those, there seems to be hundreds of these about at the moment, at first i thought they were carrying straw, then realized they were carrying a female prior to mating.
There lovely little things & seem to whiz about on the waters edge & inland a little bit I have tried for 2 days to get a big blue dragon fly but i just cant get it  so i will try again tomorrow
12. if you all feel your being ripped off then breed your own & then when you want a tenner for them & everyones whinges you will wonder why i dont think a tenners a lot for something that will if looked after properly will live for the best part of 10 years
13. Yes thats a damsel fly have you seen the red ones ?
14. if people stopped encouraging them by feeding them they would be fearfull of humans
15. My own observations from having taken a polecat in here probably some 10 yrs ago untill its release the following year was The animal was not what i would call black .. it was dark & the coat had a blue tinge to it .. he didnt smell quite the same as a male ferret .. i didnt think the smell was as pungent The noticeable difference's between him & my ferrets were the obvious one behaviour.. this animal was never seen in the day ... he didnt use a particular corner as a latrine .. infact he used every part of the cage & small run He wouldnt eat anything apart from whol
16. I cant get it right on manual the pics are always dark for some reason so i used sports mode
17. Could i use a fishhing fly without a hook .. like the bright coloured ones that whiz round Thanks for that i wouldnt have thought of it Yep! Thats the ticket, Dragonfies are hunters, so they will chase it if you danggle it in front of them
18. Could i use a fishhing fly without a hook .. like the bright coloured ones that whiz round
19. I have tried all afternoon to get this blue dragon fly to settle but it wasnt having it.. so i attempted to get it in flight.. would have liked to get better pictures but these were the ok ones i took
20. Well i find it slightly hypocritical for someone to crib about folk's keeping ferrets as pets/companions call it what you like if you dont work yours every day of the week ... if you dont work them all year every day what do you do with them when there not working... do they get humanly culled incase your seen as a soft touch
21. i dont know what category my ferrets fit into then there kept outside . there fed flesh . there not neutered. they dont come in the house . but there not worked
22. I think it depends greatly on your definition of '' pet'' if you mean dress them up in silly outfits & cart them around in these silly animal prams then yes i agree with you no animal should have to suffer that kind of treatment In reality the husbandry of a ferret is absolutely no different regardless of the reason you keep it .. unless you know differently of course
23. thats why terriers are small, and why mines are dark lol I have washed plenty of shitty socks in my time but never ran a small terrier through a washer
