    if your raising the floor by approx 400mm , a 6x2 joist will only raise you 150 mm plus 18mm flooring = 168mm

    There is if you are applying without your parents consent. You cant buy a gun or cartridges until 17, but he can have a gun gifted to him if he has a licence under the age of 17. Otherwise a 10 year old could apply for a licence and buy a gun without telling Mum! At 17 you can apply for a licence and keep at your parents (or any) home with their permission, unless you have your own property. You can then also buy, swap and sell guns on that licence. consent wasnt the issue here , it was the fact Andyy believed he had to be 18 to apply

    when you fill in an application you also sighn that your doctor my be contacted by the police get a doctors letter to say you are you pose no threat to yourself or anybody else the police then have no ground to revoke if.... john-b is on medication, no doctor will risk his career on signing a letter for him ,if the police take a license away surely they can advise on what criteria is needed to re apply ? i hope things work out for you john atb
