  1. mate iv sent a few bits and pieces also received a few never had any problems with a recorded delivery at all..............offered someone a book once for free so i put it in second class mail and he never got it typical for a f*****g freebee lol but thats the only problem iv encountered with royal mail
  2. not having a go at all mate but for me the rearing, training and finally entering the dog to quarry are all part of seeing the final product of your hard work and effort you have put in.its all about that bond you get the dog working with you rather than for you if that makes sense, i tried training two pups(litter sisters)once,never again more trouble than a novice like me could handle and tended to favour one more than the other. saying that if its your wish then good luck with it,be interesting to know what someone would charge only got to look at the price of a trained gun dog to make my
  3. i want the best chance for the dog and would hate to have to get rid through my own stupidity cannot abide the thought of having a dog opening up on quarry, as i say there is lads out there that do it regular and talk of good results from their dogs in the long term as it were

  6. iv never slipped a dog less than 10 months old,usually a bit older depending on the dog and if i feel the time is right to try them,sometimes you just get that feeling the time and conditions are perfect to give the dog a successful first outing which is really what its all about for me and the dog obviously. i have heard many lads on here state that they start them a lot younger,yes people do comment on the possibility of a young dog getting injured,frustrated and opening up but they come across as knowing what they are on and do this regularly,obviously must know their stuff but for me id r

  10. never had more than two at any time,sometimes i feel one is never enough and two is more than enough lol but they get plenty work which is all that matters really,would do my head in if i couldn't get out due to an injury so pays for me in the long run

  12. reminds me of the time i was out bushing with my terrier,f*****g thing got carried off by a redtail hawk and then it dropped it about thirty yards away,terrier fell onto a hare and killed it,when i picked the hare up there was a £5 note laying under it so i went to the pub to have a celebratory pint,handed over the £5 and got change back for a £20,funny old thing luck
