  3. WELL WE HAD A GOOD NIGHT , TARA AS NOBBY SAID TOOK 12 BUT IN ALL HONESTY I COULD HAVE CARRIED ON AND COURT 20 , BUT THERES PLENTY OF TIME WITH THE LITTLE PUP NO POINT IN DOING HER ANY DAMMAGE. 4. no tripe is not better than mince , but it is good when mixed there are some vitamins in trip that arnt in mince and vice versa. lamb is one of the best raw foods mate its got plenty fat on it which they need as for exercise she is doing enough. all you need now is lamping as much as pos or daytime coursing 2-3 times aweek . just take it easy at first. as for comming out with somone you can come out with us one night soon . but we only go out in the week not weekends, but we will be back by 4 am dont know if youl get up for scool
  5. DONT LEAVE THEM ANOTHER 4 WEEKS GET THEM PICKED NOW AND IN A BOTTLE TOMO
  6. well said smally , i like colie crosses , but to be honest how clever does a dog need to be to catch a rabbit its not rocket science i also think a good hunting instinct is better than intellegience and this can be sceen in all crosses
  7. well done mate , i will be out this week up in those butifull dales, now ive got over the rabbit flu
  8. BEST ADVISE IS ALWAYS TRY NOT TO GET COURT, BUT I CAN HONESTLY SAY I HAVE NEVER HEARD ANYBODY HAVING A DOG CONFERSCATED OR FERRETS FOR POACHING RABBITS.
  9. RABBITHUNTER WAKE UP :11: , WHAT DID YOU CATCH
  10. thats bad news mate, sorry to hear of your loss. the one small comfort , if you can call it that. is he died doing somthing he loves best wishes TOMO
  11. stamina wise she was quite good , on the hares she had about 3- 3.5 mins , i know this is nowt compared with a saluki x but when you compare with a pure grey i think youd agree its quite good . lamping wise she never got tested proply as i was running her almost daly on the odd hare or ferreting. but she did do some 15 and 20 localy and im sure she would have done far more on good ground in the dales. thanks for the comments guys TOMO
  12. mine was 25 at the shoulder 51 lb in weight, she court rabbits other dogs would miss , hares for fun and roe no problem killing them before you got to her. she was also the softest mouth on bunnies, she wouldn't do fox however. she had good feet , but like evryone else has said thin skin. im not exagerating when i say how intelgent she was . she had unbelivible eyesight and a brilliant strike, she picked up ferreting in a couple of outings would mark and of course take bolters. she also wone the windmill cup in 2003 (doubled up coursing) and runner up in 2004. and then i lost her
  13. WELL DONE MATE GOOD NIGHT OUT THATS ANOTHER DOG WELL ON THE ROAD TO FITTNES , FOR THE LAMPING COMP TOMO
  14. witton do it your way , not your dads way , there your dogs arn they, so do it your way. as for running dogs with collars i have never seen an accident because a dog was waering a collar but there are countless because the owner didnt have a collar. and a dog wasn't under control.
  15. :11: well this has to be the shortest reply ever from ditch shitter and for those that want to buy a mincer just put ..MINCER.. in google , or look under catering equiptement.
  16. welcome to the site. now im going to be a real cheaky c**t here. :11: im coming to N.Z in early december this year any chance of tagging along on a pig hunt for a few hours
  17. mine run without a slip but they still have a collar on, and there is always some rope or a lead in my pocket, just in case you encounter some danger.. ie road, rail line ,demestic pet( cat or dog) , pheasants near a pen or deer you dont want to run . so in my opinion its best to have a collar no matter how obediant you dog is.
  18. wingnut, where is your golf course. if your not to far from nottingham pm me. i run my own pest control company im sure i can undercut the other pester however if you are far away then pm moley of this site and buy his video/dvd about £30 , it will show you all you need to know about mole trapping

IUSE ONE OF THOSE BIG LAMBRINI BOTTLES. :11: AFTER YOU HAVE WASHED THE FRIUT AND PRICKED EACH ONE JUST PUT THEM IN THE EMPTY BOTTLE UP TO ABOUT A THIRD FULL,THEN POUR IN THE SUGAR SO IT COMES TO JUST ABOVE THE FRIUT IT WILL FILL IN ALL THE GAPS. THEN POUR IN THE THE GIN. THATS IT , DONE ALL YOU DO NOW IS TURN IT AROUND AND SHAKE IT GENTLY ONE OR TWICE A WEEK. IF TOU MAKE SOME IN THE NEXT FEW WEEKS IT WILL BE READY BY XMAS. WHEN ITS READY I JUST POUR IT IN TO BIG MEASURING JUG EMPTY ALL THE FRIUT OUT THE BOTTLE, GIVE THE BOTTLE A QUIK RI
  22. JUST LOOKED AT THIS THREAD, AND REALISED HE'S A NEPHEW OF MY DOG VISA, VISA IS LITTER SISTER TO BROCKS BITCH. THEY ARE ALL SIMMILAR LOOKING, GOOD LUCK GETTING IT BACK FIT AGAIN . TOMO
  23. in my opinion i would steer clear of somthing like a first cross colie /grey, whilst these dogs can be great hunting dogs, and can be easily trained, they can also be hard work at times. also you may be limited in what it can catch especily if you get a slow clody one from a litter. i would go for a good lurcher to lurcher mating, with a good propotion of sight hound in there make up, of course this is all dependant on what size of dog you want. if you have somthing medium sized with a short to brocken coat, its obveously going to be easier to to look after . somthing like whippet/gre
