    but not when the net is dragged down a hole by a rabbit i have had pegs made of evrything , i mostly use hazel, but a mate has metal tent pegs the flat angled one's , and they are good. i have made a lot up using 3mil fencing wire just bend a loop in the end of it, you can take these as exta's when the ground it rock hard, leave your wood peg on , but just loop the running line over the top ov the wire.

    i have seen one in real life , back in 86 i got a lurcher free of a man from shirebrook, notts , called carl burdet (now sadly no longer with us) he had one that was like a dalmation, i have never seen owt like it befor or since. evry one wanted to buy it , but he wouldn't sel it

I will say only this, as there are obviously some people on this thread who know jack shit about coursing.MOST people ,UNLESS they are timing a run ,WILDY overestimate how long it lasts. spot on inan, over estimate runs, and the distance on a slip

    there dufus are genuin duffus, but they also sell big cheese barrel traps, i tried the big cheese ones a few year back, there in a box now waiting to go to the tip i think i saw some flat packs half barrel traps on BOBNETS stall at melton a few months back( if he reads this he can confirm what they were). very strong , thik plate and strong springs, but i wasn't impresed with the triggers and catches they seemed loose, and fired whilst i was handling them. but like i say they may not have been flat pack

    best way to keep those crows off , is to get up EARLY and get the traps emptyed good post mate Ha Ha Like to see you beat the crows this time of year early mornings 4am, when you reset traps on afternoon, its not dark till 10pm, you have a massive window of time for corvids and predators to take easy pickings.... I wonder whos been dissing, EM! I could say a lot worse i see you just got up an answered my post

    the one in my pic is in winter coat , when she moults very soon she will be darker she is about 3 year old
