    mine wouldn't retreive anything at all, dummy,toys,socks nowt. then couple of day's ago he just started bringing rabbits back (still not interested in anything else tho). finally just sort of clicked. atb natter

    out this morning for a quick walk with the lurcher pup and terrier, went to a local picnic area saw about half a dozen dog walkers so was surprised when i saw the lurcher parading out the hedge with a live bunny (nice one dog's dinner sorted) the guy with the labradoodle had just got out of sight so wasn't i wasn't gonna get any ear ache then the terrier cottons on to what the lurchers got and there wasn't enough left for a quick photo never mind the dog's bait. (bloody terriers)

    well walked a couple of fields last night, good points were the pup did his first full retreive all the way back to hand, and it was ALIVE!!, bad thing was only got one run everything was sitting really tight and i don't want to spoil the dog letting him chase what he can't catch. theres always next time. atb natter

    congrats on your pups first mine got his first real catch on the lamp last night (finally looking down the beam) caught it then a bit too hard in the mouth because it was dead and the retreive went out the window because he just lay down next to it! but he ran it! caught it! and that's what i got him for. well happy.

    get the dog young enough and they will do anything for the kid's, mine (collie,whip,grey) doesn't take a blind bit of notice of me but every word that comes from my 7 year old the dog just does it. atb natter

    me terrier sit's beside me son and fart's then she look's at the boy as if it's his fault then me pup sit's by the kitchen door whinging and whining on but by the time you get there he's lyin on his bed lookin at me as if i'm mental

    i was always led to beleive if the property is private and the animals weren't causing any nuisance or noise pollution then they can't do a thing mate. atb natter
