  6. I just bought a standard video cable of eBay but it won't fit in the quantum, it looks like the actual plug will fit but it looks like the yellow plastic housing doesn't fit and is stopping the plug going all the way in. Has any one else found this? Or is there a smaller kind of video cable?

  11. I like Packham, but too often, his type want to go too far, on some issues, calling for a 'ban', on this or that ? (which i dont agree with, in this case),....but, the 'shooting estates', need to make sure their 'management practises', are CORRECT, for whatever their particular circumstances ? (some dont agree, with any 'large scale cull, of mountain hares', for example ?) I'm very near the place that was photographed in the spring, big numbers can and must be shot because there's such a high density.. Those that disagree, have opinions that are not based on fact or logic in other words, idiot
  12. It's something to do with the fenn not killing a stoat quick enough and stoats fall under the EU laws regarding the fur trade and fur bareing animal. I've looked into it a bit as I'm a grouse keeper with hundreds of fenns on the ground.
  13. there is talk that they are to be banned under EU law
  14. I'm looking for a mostly a vermin dog, something with a bit of hight for going through the heather. I've always liked wheatons but willing to consider something else if anyone knows of any litters that would do the job?
  15. If needs be, but I'm pretty far north and I thought I'd check there was nothing up here. Also just interested to see what's in Scotland.
  16. Had two a number of years ago, one a saluki/wheaton/gray the other deerhound/wheaton/gray. I'm in the market for a pup, but they seem to be few and far between up here. Cheers, Bobba
  17. what kind of battery life does it have and does it have to be a really cold night for this kind of detail?
  18. lurcher and terrier men are the biggest bunch of bitchs going
  19. i think im wasting my time on this thread, you lads carry on mugging yourselves. im out
  20. thanks, sounds like some good advice
  21. That's just greed, all this "breeding" is bullshit. All this trailing is a big scam, where the folk judging also run dogs and are just judging each other. So they can make FTC and put an extra 0 on the price of their pups. Worst dog I ever had was from a FTC. Best was a Springer pup from pet parents. If people stop paying stupid money they will stop charging it. Paying more money won't get you a better dog, it's the training that counts.
  22. I have just taken on a 18 month GWP that was needing rehome to no fault of its own. he is still quite puppyish and has been well looked after and gets on fine with other people and dogs etc. my question is, does anyone have any advice for bonding with an adult dog and building up trust? their must be others on here who have taken on an older dog? i've only had him a few days and am keeping him of the lead until i am more confident he will actually come back. he hasn't been spooky at all and seems to be taking the change in his stride. any tips would be welcome cheers, Tom
  23. i would give him ago if you could arrange transport which I'd cover if it wasn't silly money.
