  1. Good idea that, mate. Can you recommend one, that would be suitable ? What kind of prices, do they start from ?
  2. Aye, nice & easy setting,....not ! (for the householder, with a mole in the garden ?)
  3. Thats the thing as well, with some of these 'foreign' trap types. Too large, with too many 'parts' sticking above ground, giving the game away ? Well, for professionals, i mean,...lol
  4. LOL,...hes been very quiet, mind,....as long as everythings alright, i suppose ?
  5. Well mate, i pulled the turf back, had a good look for it.You can see right up,to where i set them, from the 18th green.Theres a couple of houses, greenkeeper/pro huts, just behind that 18th hole. Golfers were obviously passing,..(chatting to a few, etc). If it wasnt anybody watching me,....it could have been a fox,dug it out.I find they either take the trap & mole, or pull the mole out, & leave the trap, or else leave the trap & mole together next to the hole (sometimes the mole is lying seperate, from the trap ? ) lol,...If that was the case, the trap (&mole) are easily discov

  7. Went to check a pair of traps, at the 17th tee.Noticed right away, the spot had been disturbed. With a footprint,on top as well ! lol Found the turf, (tamped down) but only one trapline ? Think the trap, probably had the mole in it, as well.Cant quite make my mind up, what happened here.Could be a few possibilities, i suppose ? lol Bloody annoying, but !........
  8. And that would be my opinion too. I like the concept but as I've said many times as have others. I can't see how you benefit from the added expense. All this talk of stainless!! Stainless will rot (certainly not as fast as steel) but all will Depend on the grade of stainless used to manufacture the traps. There's no way I can see they are going to use a high grade. Not saying it can't be done and they won't but the price difference will be...!!? Well..! Noticeable But let's not confuse the trap body from the wire work. As echoed in the above comment. Once the spring has gone! B
  9. Good on you, for taking the initiative.Made to your own specifications,i take it ? lol

  18. lol,...you know ,thats a fair point. The blacksmith never picked up from the drawing, i wanted a 'bulbous' tip, he made it flat shaped, initially, like a 'spear tip' ! ha ha so i had to get him to correct it.I will probably carry it by the 'head socket', maybe. I will have to watch, going over the gates & fences, with it,....lol My 'old dad' when i showed him it, said " youll have to unscrew that "spiked part" off it, incase you "stab" yourself, with it ? lol I got the idea for it, based on the old style 'mole spuds' the catchers used (once upon a time). They had the 'spade hea
