  1. It is amazing just to see (and photograph) it too! I am a terrier girl, but love to see them sighthounds coursing. Thank you for your nice words, Anna
  2. thanks, KittleRox! It was "artificial" coursing, they were all following this pink tape, which was pulled to move similar to a hare. Anna
  3. I like the fisr photo twice! The ruins always amaze me as they stand there still so proud on the top of the hill! Lucky you having so much in Scotland! Anna
  4. Hi there, Some shots I took last Sunday. It is about my 4th time of taking pictures of coursing hounds: Anna
  5. Depends on your priorities. If a turning screen, a better ISO, a faster FPS, a faster and more responsive autofocus, a video recording capebility is important for you... and if you would buy it new or second hand. I had (and still in the family) the 60D, I can tell you about it. Also a question of what you have now, what lenses you have, why you want to upgrade and how much money you will still have for more/better lenses? Anna
  6. I see no need unless you see dust on the sensor at f/8. I use my camera mostly on the field and sometimes I have to change lens too. I live close to the Nikon service, so I used to jump about once in 2-3 months and ask for a sensor cleaning. It takes 20 minutes and then you can check if they did their job well by taking a nice shot of the sky in f/22. But other then that you should not care for a little dust, you will most likely not see it on your photos in normal circumstances. Just don't change lenses in wind storm. Anna
  7. I just thought the same, reading this ugly and offtopic argument...so disrespectful for the original thread, the man and his beloved, honest working bitch died in work! RIP Pickle. Sorry for your loss DnN... Anna
  8. Could you pls scan the article for me? DnN will send it (by pigeon-post, haha ), but I just can't wait to read it! YIS, Anna
  9. Why would a breed be wrong just because some people call them another name?? All the dogs you would call as Jack Russells in the UK, I would call them Parson Russells (in the continent). Does it make them bad workers, just because called another name?? I know quite some proper working Parson Russells and know some s***t working Jack Russells. Anna
  10. I am sorry for you mate, but don't let it take you back! Chin up, I think Ern would love you to keep going and do what he loved to do best! RIP Ern!
  11. I like bay to bolt dogs that rarely mixes and stayers. Possibly in white fur. Anna
  12. Just check how much a Russell, for example, costs in Europe and how much it cost in the UK. Are the UK Russells any worst? The import makes them much more expensive, though. ;) Anna My point was that it is pseemingly cheaper to buy and import at the prices I've been told from Saudi, than buy a saluki here in UK or Europe This is my point: they are lot cheaper in the country of origin (well, Saluki is not really from Saudi, but let's say). Anna
  13. Just check how much a Russell, for example, costs in Europe and how much it cost in the UK. Are the UK Russells any worst? The import makes them much more expensive, though. ;) Anna
  14. Then just enlighten us, please why you came to a topic called "Prayers"?? It's like trying to explain to a cube how a sphere is...you will never understand it. Anna
  15. WOW! Job well done! This is something I would like to try out once with my terriers. YIS, Anna
  16. its the speed they running at ,more so in the dark. The Neck, Back, norm kill them, other injury's can finish them as well . Ive had few dogs over the years didn't make old bones, they got killed or could never run proper again, its a tough+hard like for running's dogs . But must be just as hard for earth dogs.? Thank you for the explanation, Bird! Well, terrier life isn't easy as well, but it depends on what type of work the dog does and how hard he/she is. YIS, Anna
  17. I think the same as Sirius! What a shame! YIS, Anna
  18. I am sorry for your loss, mate, that may be terrible! I am not into slighthounds (I keep Russells), so forgive me for the question, it's just not the first time I read that slighthounds brake their back: is it a frequent accident by them, or it is only by mistake I read more issues as yours. I hope you will find his replacement soon! YIS, Anna
  19. I'm sorry for your loss. RIP Pickle. The good ones always leave too soon... Anna
