  2. Hey Dave and welcome to the forum! Waving from Hungary, Anna
  3. I think it's more the theory. It may not food next time to take off him, but a game, a quarry, or something he should not have with him/in his mouth. In every case I am the one to tell the dog when and what should he have/do and what not. Just my 5 Cents. Anna
  4. Or better: show him that YOU are the boss without agression! - take him out of the band and make excercises with him, like who starts plays and who says when to stop - don't leave the food before him, not even the bowl when it's empty and when you give him food, immitate that you eat from his food and only than he is allowed to eat. Only after you! Never call him to eat, you don't serv him, you just let him some food as you don't need more - who steps out first off the door (you, of cource! he must not step out of the door before you!) - be consequent! No means not. Funny that to most of

  10. Nope, it's a "small dog" thing. I don't think it will be Perthes, rather Patella Luxation. There is a "test" for it, takes like 5 minutes, the dog needs no sedalin, nothing, it doesn't hurt. I did it to all my Russells and they were all negative (Grade 0 - not luxating). And the test is not expensive either. Advised to be done by an Orthoped vet. Anna

  15. 8.5 months old. He always comes with us, mostly to excercise and get used to the feeling. Have met several (but not too much) dead foxes and badgers (in Hungary badger digging is allowed) and have met 2 live foxes. One he had only barking from like 20 cms and the next (after about 2-3 weeks, in the age of 6.5-7 months of age) he barked from closer with a good strong voice, bayed it a bit and than after some minutes he grabbed the muzzle of the fox. The fox didn't attack back for our luck. Since then he only met - and apported - a little rabbit living under the ground. Once he has shot into a b

  18. Very nice dog mate! I also have a youngster (8.5 months old), which already shows interest, but seems to be imatured and he is not a bay and bolt type lol. I would also like to know how is it going, how much to wait, how much excercise (quarry) to give him, what type and how will I see that he is ready? How do you do by yours? Anna
