  1. just wondering could you cover a centre fire barrel and moderator with camo tape or something else (suggestions wanted) to stop the shine or would it loose it stickyness with the heat as you shoot?
  2. The holder of the shooting rights can be used ( was for my FAC with no problems) thanks for the reply, what would i put on my land nomination for the as it asys this 'TO BE COMPLETED BY THE OWNER/AGENT/OCCUPIER/TENANT* OF THE LAND ON WHICH SHOOTING IS PROPOSED.' I put the address of the land plus the holder of the shooting rights name and address and enclosed a letter of permisson to shoot from the holder of the shooting rights. ok, thanks
  3. 4. are game keepers classed as occupiers or tenants or what? just wondering if keepers can fill in land nominations as he is the holder of the shooting rights or does it have to be the land owner who does not have the shooting rights as the keeper has then?
  5. i very really clean mine, works fine. when the accuracy starts to go a bit i clean the barrel. very occasinaly complexly stip it down and give it a proper clean, at the same time i also do the magazine. there are some good videos on youtube for how to strip down both. the only thing i do after every trip out with it is spray it lightly with a bit of oil to keep the rust away.
  6. hi, yesterday i shot 17 with .22lr on a field of rape and anothere 8 today. i sat back in a hedge and waited for 1 to drop in with in range and once u get 2/3 they act as decoys. and yes u can manage to get a few from 1 group, i had 3 out of 1 group this morning. wait for 1 bird to wander away from the group a little bit otherwise u disturb the whole lot. if i had taken decoys i could have had a half decent day. best of luck
  7. well done finally getting that pic up!
  8. its a game gun 28inch barrel if the gun fits you then you shouldnt see any rib with it beign a game gun. sounds like the stock is too high for you. what you need to do is either get the stock altered to fit you or sell that gun and buy one that fits you from the start. have a word with ur coach if you buy a new gun and see if he will go with u and make sure that it fits you. SEAN you are right but if the gun dont fit you then it wont shoot where you are looking
  9. is it a trap gun, skeet gun, sporter or what?
  10. awsome write up, the pics made it. good bag as well
  11. hi, sorry for the delayed reply. i shot 94 ex 100 in terential rain and the rain was horizontal. i was second overall and england high gun. i was beaten by one of the NI lads, so they were on there home ground. not bad for a junior in a senior competition! LOL where i shot was called the route gun club. right up north, cant remember where but it wasnt far from the giants cause way
  12. you can get push fit leather recoil pads that add about an inchin length to the stock and similar design silicon plastic ones that add aout half an inch so whichever is bestfor the fit. i think they are under £30 so its a good idea which could save expensie stock adjustment or it could help you establish the adjustment needed. atb rob the above are good solutions remember not to get a rubber pad as it will stick to your jacket and prevent smooth mounting of the gun. not if u have a good mount, or you could put eletrical tape over it
  13. teague for me. they have a round choke kkey that drops in and some how bits well (geussing fritcion) and loosens/tightens the chokes. very good they are. if you get the chokes that stick out the end of the barrel then you dont need any tools to remove them
  14. nice footage, shame bout the doe spoling the stalk though
  15. bout £250, depending on where u go. not that i know of. Ali N, good luck
  16. well, just imagine they are pigeons then, lol let us know weather u are allowed to do it or not, will be intresting
  17. i do, make sure u write down all questions that u cant find the anwsers to and ask for the anwsers, its not ur fault, some anwsers arent in the book. i am also a complete beginer but still pases, most people on the course quite hapily admited that they new very little or nothing about deer untill that course, and every one passed. FOXHUNTER, i dont think that will be just yet, the intermediate sounds more my kind of thing. also, i will be getting a rifle for deer first. and thanks all for the replies
