  1. cheers all, was wondering if it was worth it or not, sounds like not, might get a rapid 7 or something if the price is right? or are there any better rapids?
  2. Clips were over a 2 day period, 27th and 29th June. So the pheasants and partridge are natural. Not close to stock, plenty of room maybe looks like that on camera. The camera is not behind the gun it is showing a different angle than that the bullet takes. Shots do not ricochet off walls ...thats the head shots "brains leaving the rabbits heads". Like you say nothing for miles around. Safety is my number 1 priority, I consider my self quite experienced and I always assess the safety aspect before the shot. Steve ok, that explains things then
  3. happy birthday, have a good 1
  4. nice shooting mate, was that put together over a while cause u got tiny english partridge chicks then some fairly big phesent polts? i thought some of them shots were a bit close to the live stock or was it the camera angle and also i saw some of ur shots ricocheting of the walls, mabey there is nothing for miles around but i thought that was a bit dodgy. btw never seen that tekneque for gutting a rabbit before, very clean!
  5. nice shooting, never heard fo that before, like u said they are smart rabbits
  6. can see that from where the pellets hit, good shooting
  7. mixi spreads by fleas and other blood sucking things such as mozzies, so there is no way you can stop it spreading, fortunatly they do seem to become imune to it after a while, at some point you will shoot some with mixi 'scars' on them.
  8. nice bit of work, but do the pockets still open?
  9. cheers, but i dont even think my s410 has a regulator in it anyway! so i wouldnt miss one! lol
  10. cheers, i was just wondering if it would cost a lot and it sounds like it wouldnt, thanks again
  11. i think u r right there so does the ags pcr1, i think, and it comes with 2 stocks
  12. i have heard of air rifles running at 100ftlbs, but i think they were springers
  13. hi all, thinking of uprating my s410 to fac, i do have a slot on my certifcate for one. do any of the seals or anything need to be changed if it goes up to about 30ftlbs? or is it just a case of upping the power and thats all?
  14. I would mate but the gun belonged to my grandad who died last year,so i don't really want to get rid of it. Will have to see about investing in a double barrel one though fair one, i would take a look at them hush power jobs though, they are amazingly quiet! i have shot one and its about as load as a pcp air rifle!
  15. well done, y dont you chop that gun in for a double barreled 410? you could have had a left and right erlier on
  16. easy way to tell them apart, rooks have white beaks, crows have black beaks
  17. leave a rabbit out for a while for the crows to find, then turn up with a decoy and that will make them think that someone esle is stealing there meal and are soon on the ground to see them off. then its all up to you!
  18. should be fun to hunt, i heard they dont sit still for long
  19. nice shooting, there will be more, somewhere!
  20. them rabbits will have had plenty of time to forget about you then, ull make some super bags to start with
  21. hi, aviod hammer guns, you have to manuly cock them and if ur rough shooting and a bird jumps up infront of you, you have to cock the hammers, aim then fire, also single barrels are giving you one less chance, & how will you shoot all them left and rights lol. most guns are ok but there are always bad ones inamongst the decent stuff beretta, browning , baikial or miroku will do you fine, better to get something decent instead of wasting your money. good luck
  22. never mind, there is always next time! i would love to see the deer video if you can get it on
  23. thanks all, i used an air arms s410 carbine with a hawke nite-eye 6.5-20x50 scope up top The Hawke nite eye is a good scope for the money. agreed, i love it for air rifle jobs
