Try your local hunt kennels if you get rabbits that you cant get rid of as they may be interested in them for the hounds. Great bag mate you will need a trailer if you carry on with numbers like that.

Tell me about it mate it takes the pi##. I know there are alot of genuine people out there but it makes people think twice about helping people out when they done like this.

Ive cooked pigeon breast with my scout troop on a survival skills camp i ran for them and we cooked them on the fire with wild garlic and fennel they were lovely the scouts enjoyed them too. We also cooked rabbit on spit over the camp fire and that went down well too.

I had a guy phone me up about my advert on here for ferret kits. He said he deffinately wanted some and could i take them to him. I agreed to do this and went tonight to meet. I was waiting for hour and no one turned up, I was just about to leave and my fone rang it was the guy saying that he finished work late and would be 25 mins so said that i would wait for him. 10 mins past and his dad arrived on his bike saying that they had a problem that neither of em had been paid so did nt have the money for the ferrets. Yes i work jills with out collars and use a hob with a collar if the jills kill in. My jills are small and they can get through the nets with out disturbing them and a collar will get caught in the nets when they go through them. It works really well.

as said before you can only catch rabbits that are in the burrows so dont be disheartened in small bags it will happen one day just keep at it mate. As for working ferrets on a line this used to be how it was done before the modern locators. A hob was used and was called a liner, a long line with knots tied in it at internals was attached to the ferret and he was then entered into the warren to find another ferret that had killed in, he would then kick the other ferret off the rabbit and stay with it until he was dug out. There was alot of work involved in this method as you had to dig a serie

This years kits will be fine to work this season. Some ferrets take longer than others to get into it but you should nt have any problems. I will be working kits from this years stock this season.

I am not a Deer stalker so i am not in postition to comment on legal side of this and i would be interested to see how people that have put post on this topic are stalkers. I have however been controlling Rabbits, Foxes and other vermin for over 20 years and have had to at times cull during the summer cubs and baby rabbits. This has to be done and is part of what do and offer as vermin control. If we did nt do it for the land owners that rely on us they would find someone that would then you end up with nothing to do and nowhere to hunt when you wanted too. I ahev been controling rabbits in a very large garden for 2 years now and tonight whilst i was there i was approached by neighbour who asked me start on the rabbits in his garden. I had a look and i counted in excess of 50 rabbits at different ages running about. I stayed about til about 9:30pm and shot 12 with the air rifle. I think this is going to be a bit of challenge as the rabbits are comeing from the field next to the garden so i will have to speak to the land owner and see if i can shoot on there aswell. Happy days tho new permission is alway welcome

Its not an easy thing to do but you did the right thing mate. I would imagine that the poor little thing would have been i alot of discomfort. I have been breeding ferrets for about 20 years now and ive had to put a few ferrets out of their misery and it never gets any easier.

Dont let anybody know that you are doing this as local farmers will not be happy especialy if crops start getting damaged. The hotel will not be best pleased if they find out either. I would nt bother and travel further to get permission.
