  1. It works and works well BUT best if your dog is at a steady trot. Thing is, doing this type of training with a motor can be taken with a very dim view by some, especially the law and I suppose their's good reason, fecking idiots going far to fast, or pushing the dog far to hard and taking their eyes off the job and hitting the dog, maybe the dog spots sommat on that quiet country lane and turns sharpish in front of the car.... A million possibilitys....! The best option is you run with it yourself, or get a bike, that way your doing both of you some good and you'll enjoy that quiet co
  2. i always wonder why cat owners feel the need to let the friggin things out to roam around the streets and no fear of a comeback - if i let my dogs roam the streets they would be off to the dog warden pretty sharpish! hate the bloody things but i hate the irresponsible moron owners who let them wander unsupervised even more
  3. F.G.S. can you not just aswer the lads question... i'm not a digging lad myself but been on a few years back and... subject to you abiding by all of the laws you would need permission on keepered land for the protection of game birds dog locator collar & box shovel (and a graft or wrecking bar just in case) T bar to locate the tube a shotgun to despatch the pest once its been dug to its a lot of stuff to be carrying around but if you are doing a legal job on legal land (i.e. not poaching) you got nothing to worry about you could take the kitchen sink if you wanted
  4. there is a lot to think about micky first of all you need somewhere thats houses your website (this is called hosting) and you need a website address - these are two seperate requirements. there are loads of companies that do this and you can pay monthly for them too. you should register the website address in your name (a .co.uk address you register them in 2 year periods) and then tell your hosting provider what it is. if you get them both from the same place then you dont need to worry about this bit. Once you have your website address (your domain) you can then design your website
  5. using cough medecine wont treat the infection - it will only provide temporary relief from the symptoms. get some anti biotics for them and treat twice a day. the stuff i got came in a syringe like a paste. keep your dogs seperate from each other. throw away their bedding, disinfect the kennels and runs. it has an incubation period of around 2 weeks. good luck
  6. you are on about two different things here mate - two different jobs for the dogs number 1 = pot filler number 2 = pest control people weren't doing this just to pose for pics but as a form of pest control
  7. great stuff there bud - a great days sport you had there
  8. Heard of him and his terriers but never actually seen one - that looks like a good strong dog, nice and square head i really like the type - who breeds dogs of that type?
  9. heard only good things about ingles bred stuff - those on that scarlettoro site look a bit too fat and carrying a bit too much weight for my liking that other thread of the fit bully is the ideal imo
  10. Sounds like a good days sport there mate fast & furious

  15. boxing is the art of hitting without being hit. a boxer doesnt put every effort into every punch thrown, instead choosing when to turn on the power. Anyway, a lot of a boxers punch power comes from the speed of delivery combined with the strength/weight behind it rather than just size alone. this analogy of a boxer doesnt transfer well to terriers... there are two sayings which spring to mind ''its not the size of the dog in the fight but the size of the fight in the dog'' and a contradictory ''a good big un will always beat a good little un'' IMO its down to the skill and experience
  16. KTM all the way they are just awesome and the 300 EXC 2 stroke you speak of - they are IMO the best off road enduro bike you can get - i had one before my son came along in 2005 and the power delivery is wicked. If you put some super moto wheels on one of them you will have some fun but really for road use you be better off getting the bigger 640 cos a 300 exc will not be able to maintain the highest speeds at high revs for long before it goes bang.
  17. those are off the jacksons not sue what gamefairs they will be attending this year but they usually do midland/ragley and selby
  18. the dogs are looking well there bud like th elook of young paddy
  19. no wonder plummer terriers and there owners get a bad name with the crap you lot spout to me the pic looked like an english bull pup (or other small white bodied breed) put in the litter - its tail wasnt docked like the rest of them
  20. agree with you there i think part of it with a petrol engined smoker is the noise and vibration - a stihl cut off saw engine makes a right racket and when its left on the floor running on full bar you can feel the ground vibrating.
  21. heard mixed reports on the rat attack smoker i dont care what you say a dog working in smoker conditions where carbon monoxide is going in to their nose and lungs cant smell as good as a dog that is scenting in natural conditions. and i dont need to watch the rallyscene dvds...
