I realy do feel like giving up as i hav tried asking a feww farmers and they say sorry i already have pest controll. I think you need to make it clear to the farmers/landowners that you're asking their permission to shoot, not offering pest control. Although in effect, you will be helping to control pests, it's not quite the same things as a full pest control service. Okay, i'll try, but realy tbh. Who want's a 14 year old to shoot on their land? same problem here dont think anybody will want people on their land until they look 35

That's an excellent idea hyperion. Unfortunately not 6 months ago, all my old magazines went to magazine heaven. (Or as it's generally known, the local recylcling centre). I'd certainly be interested to read some of John Darling's articles if anybody can dig some out and take the time to put them up! J.D was a airgunning god and a true gent! i kick myself all the time for not keeping my old mags! ill have a look on the web and see if i can find some of his articles to put up! cheers hyperion if you find them can you pm me the site please or put it up as a link

It is not ........ but you have to admit, that with most people here getting the gear up to scratch and spending a lot of money for it at times, then you going the other way and discard the sights that you have on your gun all together is a bit strange. We should always try to do the best we can and kill as humanely as possible and some sort of sights will help to do that, so taking them of is a step in the wrong direction. get yourself a carp reel and rod, put a boylie on a rig and cast out you will be suprised what happens mate... i have two carp rods and reels. wat the best type of boile to use e.g. wat flavour were i go tutti frutti is the best in the day and the source is the best at night but they both work well were ever i go

last year out lamping dident see a thing all night and we kept hearing rustling around us we put the lamp on were we thought it was and a minky ferral ferret thing run from behind us between our legs and into the brambles that the lamp was on it. it was only my second time out with a lamp and after that my pants were a nice shade of brown :sick:

borrow a few ferrets and let them go in there as long as the birds stay out of reach they should go for the mice

i reckon carp under five pounds should be only worth 1/2 a point because ill be cathching well over lbs of carp (all around a pound)every weekend come the summer
