  13. Know what your saying mate but if no 1 started these topics and was just looking through old posts the spot would be boring, plus there is so many new members joining each day would be nice to hear their opinion on the matter. Oh I moore-wkton89 she doesnt fail you on any quarry including the ferret . Here's a pic of my all rounder had great bags of bunny on the lamp, great worker with the ferrets, retrieves charlie good enough(all though she hasnt had enough to call her a fox dog same with the daytime hares had plenty but no daytime dog and would probly get flogged on big open land, althoug

  16. Whats your opinion on this andrew2006? You are a good dog man and no your stuff!! Were the rabbits you got today strang uns?
  17. There's always the if with the saluki x's and the tooted quarry though, i personally do more lamping than out else so my dogs aren't out and out hare killers in the daytime or fox dogs but they still get there fair share, my mate's got a saluki x that could probly kill a hare infront of mine in the day, but when it come to charlie once it meets a pearly white squeels like a banshee haha. another mate of mine had a beddy/grey was only any good at lamping bunnys and ferreting. So when we went for a ratch about in the daytime he had to aquire a new dog to be able to perform to a decent standard b
  18. Never seen the wheaton x's work but heard good things about them, my brother had a beddy x and it was a great lamping and ferreting dog.
  19. Just starting this for bit of crack really, what does everyone think is the best cross or breed of dog for all round work. Meaning lamping, ferreting, retrieving hares and fox (day or night). And I mean testing their working ability's aswell not just 5 or 6 rabbits on the lamp I mean 20 to 30 rabbits, good at working with ferrets, also being able to kill hares on most land(pre ban) and a dog that doesn't mind mixing it with the toothed quarry(pre ban). I prefer Bitza's they are usually good dogs for all round work. Obviously there are dog's that excel at certain task such as the Bull x for the
  20. also with pups i feed them little but often gradually cutting down as they get older
  21. Once a day, i wouldn't leave food down for them nout worse than a picky eater. If your working your dog hard and out 7 nights on the trot you need to put feed down for your dog and make sure they polish so you no what they have ate ready for the next night. Also if your planning a night out you need to feed your dog early enough so they aren't running on a full stomach something you cant do if you leave feed in with them, because they might just decide to eat a load of feed 10 minutes before you take them out.
  22. Here's a pic of my old Saluki/Grey x Bull/Grey Zeus..
