You have to be careful takeing rabbits off this pup also, i don,t mind a keen dog but i like my dogs to be able to kennel, travel but above all work with other dog's,

A mate of mine had a litter last summer and the sire he used was "the wolf" from the north east, they will be a year old in june, the mother of the pups was stolen around christmas time and the bitch he kept back was knocked down by a car crippled and PTS, he also kept a dog back and he is shaping well. I have heard that the wolf is one hell of a dog, but also heard that he is a nasty fecker with other dogs

Ferrets also need to be broken to dogs, i was breaking an 8wk old pup to them and the ferret i had at the time tried to get hold of the back of his kneck

They probably do lose the odd one to shock, as you may well know a dog can go into shock from a small kennel fight, and this sort of work look's like a stressful situation Probably lose the odd dog to infection from the dirty fecker's hand's

I would of thought the vet could of given you an idea on the length of time to lay her up.

Hard desicion to make but no more suffering mate.

Lucky had'nt realised what had happened to his dog or i'm sure he would'nt of carried on working it (remember a vet could'nt diagnose it) as soon as it's rested and fed easy food it will heal, although at this stage i would of been to a better vet for advice.

Feed him wet food for a few week's, see if it make's a difference, if not a good vet will plate it up and once it heal's and the bone callas' over you'll have no trouble with it again, :thumbs-up: I've had my jaw broken in 2 place's and this is how mine was treat,

I do like the look of the dog's, but not the sh*t-hole they're kept in.

An old fashioned ticking clock is supposed to have a calming reasuring effect on a young pup, never tried myself, was told by an old terrierman and he reckoned it worked for him. Supposed to replicate the bitch's heartbeat.

Was there not an old guy up in Scotland that bred DeerH/ GreyH for that job?? I think his second name was Riley (not sure), a bit of a rogue as i remember being told but i can't for the life of me remember who told me a few year's ago now,

If it were 2 kid's he was walking and 1 hit the other would he of been right to put the boot into the aggressor? I think not, he would of seperated them thought about punishment and acted correctly and not like a bully, absolutely no need for this reaction. I,m sure if the dog had attacked the child that is the first thing the public who witnessed it would of reported.
