Nice one mate, everything you describe sounds just like one of my permissions including black rabbits but I thought I got rid of all those last year

Is that not the point of pest control??? Some of us have to do all we can on permissions to keep permission owners/farmers etc etc happy, the more my permission owners and farmers see me the better, I love my ferreting don't get me wrong but to keep on top of things I have had to start going up on a night aswell with lamp and rifle, have a feeling I wasn't seen to be doing everything I can to control the coneys I would be asked to not do it any more and somebody else would take my place, so does the rifle spoil it? well to a degree yeah it might but think first of the reason we are doing t

ferrets have a very very short digestive tract and are highly unlikely to have anything inside them long enough to pick up a worm, all the years I have had ferrets i've never heard of any having worms.

you're unlikely to find permission sat behind a computer screen mate, best bet is get out and knock on farmers doors, that way they know what type of free service they will be getting, I did just that and now have more permission that i can manage by myself so have to call in a few friends to keep everyone happy

It's not about the numbers marra, it's all about getting out there with mother nature and honing your field craft skills, well done on your 2 rabbits though i'm sure they will be a nice meal for the ferrets.

try some chicken wings, cheap as chips from the supermarket, I think mine are sick of the sight or rabbit at the moment haha

understatement of the year haha, I don't think it will be long before even the rabbits have oxygen tanks and masks up there, certainly makes the old muscles burn, was fun ferreting it last year in 4 foot of snow, easy going down but took hours to get back up haha

so i've been thinking long and hard and done a bit of searching, I will basically tell you guys what i require of it and let me know what you think It will be mainly used for getting to and from my permissions across the steep and in winter snow covered penines, it will be required to do a little bit off road and when i say of road I mean driving on wet grass fields and NOT ploughed fields etc etc, also I would like a bit of room inside for all my carp fishing gear, fuel economy would be another contributing factor the higher mpg the better for me, finally safety and comfort for both me, my
