  1. It's for the best Col mate, she has done well over the years and deserves a happy retirement.
  2. Not a single bit of undergrowth on our permission unless we venture into the woods where there is a few big hairy things lurking
  3. Me and Col have just had a chat, we are going to be starting tomorrow, not full on just some of the easy shallow sets, more so to gain a bit of experience to the new dog and show the landowners of our new 100 acres that we mean business, we will be out all day and are taking the air rifles and lamps for the night time aswell, Bring it on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Won't sleep tonight

I've never left cages open, my ferrets have always undone all the catches, bolts and padlocks themselves :11:
  9. My black eyed white it pregnant mate, she was mated with col-g's albino hob you are more than welcome to have your pick of the litter mate, i'm up in sunderland, Col has put some pictures up somewhere of the one he chose from the first litter
  10. Not long now before team wallace and gromit + Guest will be out dwindling down the coney population, My Jill ferret is over Col's and will more than likely now be pregnant so she may miss the start of the season, Just been and checked my locator and collars and replaced batteries, spade is sharpened and I'm good to go, another couple of weeks and I think we should be ready. Bouncer has been on a diet and has shed a few pounds, and his marking nose is on top form, heres a few pictures of the little poser HAHA
  11. We have it on some of our permissions, but not many, the healthy ones certainly outnumber them thats for sure..
  12. Liar, i've seen you with that wife with the barking dogs down the lake on a morning You never told me about this Col, we will have a trip up you know where soon mate, perfectly legal and only the cows and horses to be scared of.
  13. I read an article from the ex-sas guy Lofty Weisman that said "A good indication of Myxie, is white spots on the liver". However when someone mentioned a weird liver I suggested Myxie. I have since found out that is not allways true. The link I posted clinched it for me. The liver in the picture is virtually identical to the picture that we took of the liver of our rabbit. Phantom LOL, well i'm standing by myxy i've seen those livers for the last 17 years hahaha ( now i realise there is a hint i might be wrong though )
  14. Every time i have seen a liver like that it has been on a rabbit with myxy, Yes I have gutted rabbits with myxy and they all have livers like that, even rabbits with the start of myxy will have livers like that (even if they dont have the eye damage yet) I have read the above posts and i don't find them conclusive, someone prove me wrong
  15. put a brick in front of it so it's too heavy for them to move.
  16. sorry to but in here, but how much would it cost to get a full rifle reblued???
  17. Use a litter try or follow the advice above, my new hutch has 3 coats of high build woodstain and good ventilation aswell as being cleaned out very often.
  18. I have always started ferreting on the first frost, but i think this year it's going to be when I get up on a morning and need to put the heating on cos it's too cold, too cold for me, too cold for the rabbits to still be breeding
  19. welcome, also a fellow fisherman, i wouldn't say 3 is too old to start depending on the ferrets temperament, try it on a few known shallow easy sets first and see how it goes, also try and get it used to the ferret collar prior to going out, should be ok.
