  5. nice going davy buddy, if you need a hand just give me a shout.
  6. top notch that scuba mate. well done.
  7. you steam for a fair time untill you reach the fishing grounds, but this is the time to get some sleep cause when your there its none stop, and i do mean none stop fishing average size cod are 15-20lb, you can expect 150-200 stone of fish in the 4 days. the fish is gutted, cleaned and boxed in ice and even filletted for you if you wish.
  8. ive been on too many boats with skippers that lose interest as soon as the boat is slipped from the harbour. but ive also been on boats where the skipper works his arse off and you can see the look of dissapointment in his eyes if your not catching. i now only go out with skippers that i know or get recommended buy friends. and yes i agree mate the fish are getting so hard to come buy in our waters. i know of a skipper that leaves whitby starting in september thatgoes over to scandanavia for 5 days cod fishing its absolutely awsome. £400 for 5 days and the cod are monsters.
  9. id pay £50 to catch a cod like that any day. too many skippers now days take your money and dont bother trying to find you the best fish. i wonder how some of these amature skippers manage to keep there bookings coming in. think i'll get my name down for that boat in a few weeks. ATB REDEYE.
  10. when i need timber i go round the wood yards and get it out of their skips.
  11. thats some great fishing there mate, how much did the trip cost buddy?
  12. some people on here are so narrow minded. i dont own a lurcher because im in the army and work away from home, i dont have the time to give the animal my full attention which is a must when owning a dog. just because i dont run dogs doesn't mean i dont agree with it. everyone has a choice of how to hunt, neither is right or wrong its personnel preference. As for the "wheres the skill in that" comment, go buy yourself a rifle and try and hit a 2p at different distances factoring in wind and elavations. it takes more skill than you can imagine. 13. hello and welcome hope you enjoy the forum.

  15. one of my land owners bought one of these for moles, paid alot of cash for it too. i didnt realise it was illigal to blow runs untill you'd cleared them so when i found out i let him know is response was whats the point in blowing the runns if you cant kill them in the process. i told them they're going to be banned very soon and to get rid real quick so not to lose to much cash on it. It worked he got rid within a week, good job cause im sure he'd of turned it on the rabbits once he got bored chasing moles around with it.
  16. £30 used £55 new. not bad at all IMO.
  17. i was going to put a boat up in the harbour for the summer but the misses decided to quit her job last month, kind of hits the purse strings a bit hard losing 45k a year income. maybe next year. mates got an 18ft cobble he's doing up if you fancy a trip out im sure he wouldnt mind you tagging along.
  18. i thought they close the harbour wall at this time of year to the fishermen????
  19. those gortex boots are a great buy for that price, i got a pair issued for a winter exercise in Canada last year. a nice pair of winter socks and these boots will handle anything this countrys weather can throw at you.
  20. nice going mate, hows the fishing going up there at the mo, im off up to brid to see my mate in a few weeks throw a line in off bempton if his boats not ready.
