Yer hope so. do like going on own and working both my dog a ferrets but there are just those warrens that could do with that extra person or two. i take my cousin out now, been out couple times with me and i ve shown him the ropes. the ferreting bug has bit him hard i think. he really enjoys it but we just live to far apart to go out every week end.
  2. Been looking at prices of mk3m collar. managed to get a price from my local gun deale at £46 each. everywhere else seem to be £48.99

  4. I wish to purchase two more locator collars for my MK3. But they have now got the new MK3 m collars out too. they look pretty big in the pictures but the thier water proof etc. what do you find better Mk3 orignal collar or the Mk3 M if any of you have used them cheers

Check the National Ferret Welfare Society website for fert friendly vets in your area.My 2 go in next friday, the practice knew what they were talking about & has given me confidence for the op.The quote for each hob is £70.I had quotes varying from £50 -120 but it was the way they spoke about it that sealed the deal for me. i have spoken to vets and they have done Op' before, made sure of this straight away and was qouted £70 also. so prob use them. how long it take before fire blnks?? do you no??
  7. Can anyone tell me on here where is the cheapest place to get my hob vasectomised in suffolk area or surrey area. as i've heard you can get it done for a less as £30 and as high as £100. wondering if any one could help cheers
  8. yer i had this today. was working my jills. both got nasty nip from rat on there noses and lips.. rat bolted eventually. got away though.

  10. was given a demo on a quick set system and i have to say im hooked on it. where is the best place get a 10z system from?? seen alot of 4-6z but not 10z. is it worth getting the 10z or is 6z fine??
  11. i have only ever used the spray on ferrets which is still only available at the vets how much do you spray on them??
  12. how do you de flea and get rid mites on ferrets. know u can use frontline, but which one do you buy and how much do you giv them. obviously they dnt need as much as cat etc.

  15. im near Oxted, which is not far form (east croydon,purley, redhill) if no them areas

Keep trying to make my mind up where to put my gun cabinet in room but cant decide. didnt want it to close to the window or that if someone was to get into our garden they could see it through the window. so i thought how about having the cabinet layed down and bolted to the floor under my bed. then just slide the bed to the side when i wish to take me guns out. ( my bedroom floor is solid concorete due to living on the ground floor in my house) can i do this or does it have to be bolted upright against a wall? cheers

I have two 6 month old hobs free to good homes. prefer ideally go to same home. strong hobs of really good size sandy colouring and one has dark mask with sandy body.. can email pictures on request. these have not been worked yet but will do soon as need to earn there keep. and also possibly one 18mnth old hob. polecat. good strong size again.been worked. ferrets handled well. genuine reason for needing new homes. suffolk area but occasionly in surrey.
  19. Can anyone reccomend a good book on shot guns and firearms. To teach the basics to a novice? ins and outs of both types of guns, maitainance, different ammo etc kind regards james
  20. Should i purchase and install a guncabinet before FEo come to interview me or should i wait untill they have been? Surely this would mean them coming back again to check the cabinet? At the moment im considering buying and installing it first Has anyone got a cabinet forsale? Cheers

Hello, im was just going to apply for my shotgun certificate but after reading the above forum posts about apply for such a certificate and that its cheaper to apply for both shotgun and FAC i think i might do both. As i would like both. But i have a few queries??? Can i put a gun cabinet in my garage? What 12g under and over would you recommend for a beginner? (Not too expensive) What rifle would recommend for beginner? Ground game/ Fox any other tips to help me through my first apllication would be great. kind regards
