Just started to look for terrier pup to work. whilst searching the internet i have found all sorts. pat x pug , pat x poodle, russel x doodle, russel x pug etc i could go on with all dif X's. anyway all these pups are being bred and sold at silly prices, obviously a fashion craze and to make some money. also looking places for good pups out of good quality working strain. decent parents. and thats hard enough with people just breeding anything with anything. do people not have pride in what they breed, keep couple back them selves and sell the others off cheap.. just seems dog

will jump on command but wont retrieve over fences
moocherboi replied to JPTfellterrier's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
as matty73 said. get your lurcher to retrieve over something small 1st, then increse the hieght as the dog becomes more confident. i started my lurcher over small piece of wood in a door way no higher than a 1ft then 2ft etc. also keep the dummy light to start with, i used a small soft toy. good luck with the trainning. -
sorry mate your just too far from me. otherwise i would have it

yer i got one did have a few. they all had great temperaments n great workers. have to lift the nets for him tho. he waits at net until lifted, otherwise he get tangled up.. jus had him vasectomised now though. he works at some pace too but not as quick as jill obviously and he just grabs rabbits n shakes n by the neck with one bite like dog. great ferret would never let him go.

Jills in season, in need of vasectomised hob
moocherboi replied to moocherboi's topic in Ferrets & Ferreting
yes will prob end up being the jill jab. Dont think its worth risking my ferret living her in season for 6 weeks. plus would rather be working her, so get the jill jabs for both them. -
Two of my jills have started to show signs of coming into season, (no suprise) but im having my hob snipped this week but obviously he wont be firing blanks has anyone got one close to newmarket, suffolk. couldnt see any on the other topic. cheers

yer i want him come out few more times first before he commits to getting a couple ferrets. i will sort him out wit couple jills. and everything else. help him set up .
