  1. hmmm i reckon you'd be hard pressed to get a decent semi for that money, possibly a hatsan, but more likely a second hand mossberg, i recall a new one is around £450 but IMHO you should spend a bit more and get a decent second hand Beretta, or lanber, basically something that won't blow up in your face.... I use a cogswell and harrison s/s ejector, a lovely gun and it has so much.... not sure how to describe it, but it was made around 1920 and is just really nich to hold and use.... i'd go to your local gunshop and see what they've got. i'd really look at spending at least £600 to get so
  2. shooting squirrels from trees with a .22? nooooot a good idea. I'm applying for a .17 HMR which i feel is safer than a .22 as the bullets are frangible like a centerfire, (apart from cast pistol and .45-70 bullets) so will fragment when they hit something, and are more resistant to ricocheting. I just reckon that with a .22 on a frosty day or hard clay, you shoot at a rabbit, the bullet passes through and peeeoooowwww! rick- ochet! I'd never shoot into trees with anything other than an air rifle, possibly i might if the tree was below me and i was shooting into a hollow, but never at any other
  3. as long as you have a separate cabinet and only you have the keys than you can apply for a shotgun certificate, if you want to store the shotgun in the same cabinet as your friend, then you will have to have his gun listed on your certificate and have yours listed on his (as well as on your own, as you will have access to both guns.
  4. to my mind, rough shooting is just wandering around the field boundaries and through the woods, with the gun (mine's a side by side ) and just shooting what you flush in front of you!
  5. Hi there all, I'm new on this forum, I got a question for y'all! if you've got a factory rifle that isn't bedded, and you take the action out of the stock to clean it say if it's been raining and you have a blued steel action and barrel and you put it back, and tighten the screws to the same tension that they were to start with, will the POI change? assuming that the barrel is free floated, (specifically looking at the tikka T3) Cheers Dane Just messin' around with the smileys!
