    In my opinion they are too big and a bit of an over kill for air rifle work. Kyle If you are planning on using a red filter you might get away with it, if not then its way too powerful for air rifle ranges, then again if you get the variable version you will have the best of both worlds. atb nasher

    One of my kids is ten she started ferreting with me last year, a couple of weeks ago and after lots of target practice she shot six ferals around the farm, I supervised her very carefully, last wednesday the farmer was watching her with a big grin on his face as she popped more ferals off of one of the sheds, this sunday she's going to have her first go on a .410 so happy days atb nasher

    I got my R10 back last thursday from BSA I emailed them about a few things and had a phone call from John Bowkett confirming that he had blueprinted it and telling me what pellets he had used, Si where can I get a Twink silencer from as I have a bsa vc on at the moment and its not very quiet, also who would I contact about a port plug, mines in .177 flavour I hope you enjoy your R10 because I'm really starting to like mine atb nasher

    As I was walking back to the van a couple of weeks ago I noticed a three quater grown rabbit sat right in front of it with its back to me, I shot it straight through the back of the head and the pellet came out of one of its eyes, it toppled over without a twitch so I left it there while I put the gun and gamebag into the back of the van, when I went to get the rabbit it was sat upright facing me at first I thought it was another one then it ran around in circles a couple of times and just dropped again it sort of freaked me out as upon inspection it was deffo dead on the shot. atb nasher

    Sorry to hijack your thread mate but Davy a friend of mine has the same voms nightsight as you and has snapped the mount do you know anywhere he can get a replacement as I have been looking for him and cant find one anywhere atb nasher

    I got a call from the shop today saying my new R10 had arrived it came with a new BSA VC silencer and its blueprinted, should I have paperwork with this stating that its blueprinted. I had a quick zero session with it and it seems alright it doesn't like AA fields like the other barrel did spits them everywhere it seems to prefer H&N field, i am gonna try and get out on the farm saturday and zero it at a proper range 45 yards, I hope this ones alright as i had a call from a farmer today saying the crows have turned up on-masse and need sorting atb nasher.

    You might get a secondhand s200 for that sort of money there very good guns or you could get a new 2 shot webley raider very underated pcps, they would both give you more shots than the ultra

    Well the thing is since I last posted I have been firing the gun with just the muzzle brake at my 15 yard garden target and im beginning to really like the gun so tomorrow if he can just sort the silencer out I will be a happy chap im just getting a little stressed at spending so much time down the shop when i promised the missus a DIY week as i havent got a job on till next week, so at the mo nobodys happy

    I did ask for a new gun today but he wouldnt do it the conversation got quite heated thats when he offered a new silencer and said he would make it fit if it still clips, he was adament I wasn't getting a refund or another gun as he said the gun was now secondhand, I will let you know how I get on tomorrow.

    I'm not having a good time with mine been back to the shop five times since yesterday and got to go back tommorow, I had mag problems at first and that was sorted, I've now got silencer alignment problems, I zeroed it without a silencer and it was pellet on pellet put a wierauch silencer on it and knackered its so bad you would be better off throwing a brick, I took it back today and asked for my money back but he convinced me to try another silencer and said if theres a problem he will take the gun and get it working, so I took the gun home and put the modertor on and it looked straight but w

    I sold my AA S410 in.22 yesterday as im a .177 convert and went down the gunshop this morning with the intension of buying a s410 in .177, I nearly walked away with one until I got the chap to chrono it 8.5 fpe straight outta the box (f**king bargain). I dont think so. Anyway this BSA R10 kept catching my eye so I thought why not, got it home mag wouldnt lock in, took it back to the shop he gave me a mag which locked in, went home mag wouldn't index, so back to the shop the owner phoned up BSA took original mag out back to workshop and took a drill to it, it now locks and indexes and so far s

    I want to swap my AA S410 classic in .22 for a .177 one failing that I will sell it for £[SOLD it will come with two mags a sling and a 3-9x50 scope. I also have a SMK15 .177 junior rifle for sell it has a 4x40 scope on it and has fired less than 100 pellets from new I want £40 for this or swap for a .410 shotgun, I am based in Bristol and would prefer face to face. atb nasher

    Persevere with him and try what the others have said, but from what you say I think he knows what you want him to do he but he only complies when he feels like it, I would give him till about twelve months and if he's still playing up invest in a shock collar, they can do wonders for recall and training but make sure you try everthing else first. atb nasher

    I had a quick midweek two hour session at the ferals on wednesday and managed to get 28 of em, I thought I had knocked the wind out of them but saturday I had a call from the farmer saying there was about a 100 flying around and could I do something about it, so I went back over today with the trusty .177 Raider and had another pop Heres 22 which I managed to pick up there was probably the same number stuck on roofs and in bushes I couldn't get to, just as well really I need them for ferret food I've got 18 of these tiddlers two weeks old and starting to have a chew already. atb nasher

    With the scope you are using I would zero at all different ranges and mark them on the elevation turret, I was out last week with a chap using the same gun as you and the 18 grain pellets he had a rangefinder and when he saw a target he just found out the distance clicked it on the scope and shot it, he even took out a woodpigeon at 82 yards, I was very impressed with his setup. atb nasher

    I recently bought a .177 single shot Raider off of a member on here it came with a tin of H&N field pellets, they were very good through it so when they ran out I bought a tin of the same from my local shop but they wont group, I was just wondering what other people find to be good through raider barrels atb nasher1
