  1. Nice going Festa. Ive got to agree with Migmog though. The fox does look pretty cute and giving you the eyes from that cage.
  2. Hi guys, I went for a mooch around my permission today after work to see what was about. Luckily there was plenty of vermin kicking about today, so I managed to give the new R10 a good run out. The squizzer was a simple 10 metre head shot at a 45 degree angle in a tree. The tree rat was busy eating nuts and didn’t even see me stood there scanning the tree tops. The pellet struck the top of its neck and it fell and didn’t even kick with nerves. The corrid was sat on top of a 20 foot big green fence along the old airfield where I shoot, at 30 metres " my zero range" It was s
  3. Well guys i managed to get another hour in shooting after work too " shush :thumbs-up: dont tell the wife". Here are the pics from today as promised earlier Zini
  4. Yes Marksman, I got the new one yesterday and my work collegue give me the money for the Storm this morning so ill give it him tomorow when i come to work. He already has a FAC and a rimfire but wanted a good accurate air rifle to shoot out to 40 metres in a paddock he has that is alive with bunnies so he says. I assured him that the Storm will eat bunnies at 40 metres without any problems. Zini
  5. Dont you just love airgun chat and language, Bunny bashing Woody whoopin Squizzer smashing Maggie mangling Corrid cracking Can anyone think of any other words only used by airgunners?
  6. Cheers guys for the kind comments, I'm replying here from my office at work. Yes Festa we will defo break her in at the weekend. I dont know about me being a better shot, Ive seen you do some great shots yourself mate. I went this morning for half an hour before work and got a squizzer from around the pheasant feeders. He got kissed on the side of the head with a .22 domed which upset his grain apitite  . I then went for an hour at dinner time and got 2 corrids and a ferrel flying rat. Ill put the pictures up tonight under this same post when ive down loaded them from
  7. Hi all, I just thought that i'd put up a quick post of my new toy that i bought today. I was going to get it in .177 but the wait was 3 weeks with BSA and the gunsmith in Richmond managed to talk me into this .22 calibre BSA R10 mark 2 with a second stage SAK silencer model instead. I have had to sell my trusty old GunPower Storm but I'm sure that this R10 mark 2 will live upto and beyond the Storm. (Its got some big boots to fill i can tell you). I zeroed it in at 30 metres in a wind free vehicle hanger and i was suprized by its accuracy. This gun was accurate enough to shoot the
  8. Thats tight Festa. The bunny was probably on its holiday in that caravan and you have just spoiled his week LOL.
  9. Scuba, dont worry friend by the time Marksman left my zero range on Sunday morning his gun was putting in tight 1 hole groups at 30 metres from the bipod. I can voucher for him, his gun and he shoots extremely well . Zini
  10. From what my gunsmith told me the cocking spring as been strengthened, the bottle has been modified so the top hat doesn spin off, the silencer is a home made one that the gunsmith designed and is very quiet, the stock is a home made one too and it feels very nice in the shoulder. The gunsmith tuned it too with Bisley Magnums to perform at its best. The gun is more accurate than i can shoot it so i cant really fault it. Ive been out wit Festa from here and look endless 45m - 50m plus head shots with it on rabbits and it does the job every time. The scope is a Taso 6 - 24 x 50 nato reticle
  11. Hi all regards from me. Wuzzy and Reggeaman ive been into the stores today at work as i promised on Sunday and got you both some combat 95 bottoms, combat 95 shirts and combat 95 jackets. They are all in very good condition. I'm just washing them at the moment for you both ready for when you come up again to shoot with me Marksman and Festa "hopefully very soon". I also got you Wuzzy a jungle hat as you said you wanted one. Ive also asked my store person to save you some size 7 combat boots. If you give me your size Reggeaman ill get you some as well. Ive just been to the gu
  12. Nice shooting Festa. Theres nothing quite like in shooting terms as the sound of a .22 impacting on a rats skull.
  13. No problems lads. It was a real pleasure having you all up and down depending which part of the country you came from. Id just like to add that Festa, Marksman, Wuzzy and Reggeaman are top blokes and a real credit to this forum and the shooting community. You are all welcome to come back and shoot with me again. Wuzzy you know them 2 rabbits that we saw sat together on that grass under the road light just before you said goodbye? I went back and shot them both with the Storm. I found one and gave it to Festa just before he left but couldnt for the life of me see the other one without t
  14. Been doing some more on our video Festa. I got the footage from last night edited and put into the shooting part. I have also put music to the start and end of the film and put text at the end now with the credits etc. I think if we get some good footage on Sunday from ferreting and shooting we will be half way to completing it. I am going to try and get some of them foxes that my boss wants us to shoot on that sewage works and around the clay range. We need to get intouch with Barny so he brings his big gun out to play.
  15. Tell him to get a Storm mate, they shoot very straight
  16. Ill have to see what i can do for you Festa. Maybe i can get hold of one already made through my mate. Festa if someone is using a damaged gun to shoot its only understandable that they wouldnt hit every thing that they were aiming at. You did well to get what you did considering the fact that your gun wasnt 100% functioning mate. Im sure there are readers on here that dont get regularly what you got if their honest when their gun is working properly, nemind with a inop baffle mate. I think if im dressed in that suit sat at the bottom of that tree in the big cow field or where we
  17. Hi all, I just thought that I’d put up a quick post from yesterday and last night. The tree rat was caught in one of my own made tree rat traps up at the pheasant pens and then humanely dispatched with an air rifle. The rabbits were shot by me and Festa when we went out last night doing a bit of lamping. To spite a full moon which I don’t think is good for lamping; there were plenty of rabbits out. This I think was due to the 15 degrees temperature that we had until 2300hrs where I shoot, (a rare treat in North Yorkshire). The majority of the rabbits were shot from r
  18. I didnt look at the fox setill go and have a look this morning mate.
  19. Cheers guys. Sorry about getting the combats wrong. They just looked abit Eastern to me lol. I put them traps out tonight Festa, cheers mate. Hopefully soon ill have some grey tree rats. Got 9 out in that wood now. Zini.
  20. Cheers Scuba Regards Zini
  21. Cheers Ferretville. I took Festa out today and he got 10 bunnies. I got 3 with his gun.
  22. Great shooting mate. My terrier would like to get some of that action. Keep the posts coming. Zini
  23. Hi all, Just thought that id put up a quick post from 4 and half hours shooting with Festa today. We met at my permission at 1730 hrs and then went straight into a hanger i use to check zero. Festa brought along his Air Arms Pro Sport and i had my GunPower Storm. Firstly we went and did a quick check zero and a bit of fine tuning which didnt take more than 25 minutes for us both to be confident that our combos were putting pellet on top of pellet at a measured 30 metres. Ive always fancied the look of the Air Arms Pro Sport but never actually saw one in real life until today.
  24. Cheers Wife, Ill have to look at my mesh and put a spring on the door to keep it down. Anyone got a idea how i can keep the door locked?
