  4. I have both books which accompaneid the two relevant TV serie's Eg; "CLARISSA and THE COUNTRYMAN" "CLARISSA and THE COUNTRYMAN sally forth" Both series were commisioned and aired by BBC2! Having been in Clarrie's company a number of times, I can confirm that what you see! is what you get! she's a wonderful character and a brilliant raconteur, Both copies of my books have signed with great personal messages to me from the lady herself, In Clarrisa and the Countryman she wrote "To Tom, keep hunting and Bollocks to Blair, see you on the ramparts" and in the second volume "To Tom

Maltenby says and I'm placing the emphasis on "Where do you think the name Scotland came from!! ": Now hang on a minute boyo! The WELSH are the remnant of the Brythons, the truly native British tribe. An ancient version of the Welsh language was once spoken over the whole of the British mainland, in various dialects. In fact, along with south west of England & the Merseyside area, Scotland was one of the last areas outside of Wales that the language was spoken. You say that Scotland has never been conquered? Where do you think the name Scotland came from? The Scotti tribe th

Undisputed says "The Treaty of Union declares that England and Scotland shall become one kingdom, with the same monarchy and succession, a single parliament (‘the Parliament of Great Britain’), and equal trade and economic rights. Some clauses permit the continuation of Scottish institutions (such as the burgh and legal systems). Other institutions, such as the Great Seal (used to signify state approval) were remade as a new ‘British’ version. However, most clauses stated that Union was to be obtained by Scotland adopting the existing English form, for example with regard to customs an

Scot Hunter says "Feel better getting that off your chest? I care not a jot about marshall wade.Got more worries with fanatical muslims than living in the past. I do not a bit about Scottish history. One thing i do know is that there were more Scots fighting Scots at culloden than there was English. It was also King Billy who signed the order for the Highland clearances carried out by no less than "SCOTS". Well im scottish but class myself British. As for the native tongue i think you will find that it was never spoken in the lowlands. "_________________________________________________

Why look up the word british when I don't consider myself Briitish I'm a Scot first and foremost with a proud family and clan history (CAMERON) who's ancestors were transported and some instances murdered for the wearing of their tradional dress and clan tartans, banned from speaking their native tongue (by a British government) The Scots Gaelic language is still not recognised by the british government to this very day and yet the welsh language has legal parity with english, I also would not stand up for a british national anthem that in its 6th verse describes crushing rebellious scots.

  12. Why not give us a hand at Edinburgh next year?? Tom Thanks for the reply. My intention of "sour grapes" was just for the food and the lack of Lurchers. I will be looking forward to the Edinburgh fair as you mentioned. I was thinking this morning of Organising one in West Lothian, possibly in Bathgate as there is Parking and ground facilities. This would be along way off, as I would need to contact Clubs and seek out sponsors. Ideas would be appreciated. There is a large following of Hunting and such like in and around West Lothian and I would like to see something of it
  13. If it was my comment of "sour grapes" you used please dont take it out of context as I was referring to something else previously in this post,!! I for one 100% agree with you!! the Scottish Game fair and its enterance fee, price of burgers/food and beer tent were a rip off and I was there working on a stand!!! The fact that lurchers are not welcome has always pissed me off personally as it does at the Dumfries and Galloway show where there also not welcome, I'm organising the working dog events at the SACs Gamefair August 2009 at Edinburgh! All working dogs will be welcome at this show
  14. Carrying a baton would constitute an offence, period!! your allowed to use reasonable force not excessive to defend yourself?? If your assailent was unharmed and attacked you? your use of a baton would be seen as excessive and illegal, as a lady it would not be illegal to carry a deoderant spray or perfume spray and use that as a defence as a last resort?? and argue it was your only means of defence against a bigger more aggresive assailent If that does'nt work just revert to your own tried and tested methods Sarah, just kick the fecker in the knackers Tom

  18. It should'nt affect your application!! I was involved in a serious car accident years ago and was diagnosed as having post traumatic stress after the accident, and had no problems with renewal etc: even after the cops talking to my GP Tom

  20. SACS NATIONAL GAMEFAIR SCOTLAND 2009 in association with Scottish Association of Country Sports Below is an extract of an email concerning a Scottish Association for Countrysports Game Fair to be held at the Showground at Ingilston Edinburgh next year (2009) The fine details are being sorted at the moment, and I'm hoping and certain?? that myself, and a senior member of this forum will organise the Lurcher and terrier events at this show and believe me it will be something special and massive Tom ___________________________________________________-- have contr
  21. as you can see that insurance company also caters for male drivers A direct quote from the Sheilas Wheels website they also can't discriminate against men!! they are just very carefull with their use of words in atttracting what they see as a niche market Tom Is Sheilas’ Wheels ‘woman only’ car insurance? While we cater especially for ladies, men are welcome to take out a policy with us but our benefits are ones that women will appreciate. Of course you can also cover the men in your life (husbands, partnersbut our benefits are ones that women will appreciate. _____________
  22. I'm not hot under the collar about the situation jus highlighting an anomaly that should'nt legally exist!! there is nothing wrong with ladies days and long may they continue , the issue is giving discount memberships on one issue Gender?? what next?? family memberships for protestants or catholics only agnostics and aethists need'nt apply and your right it was also a cynical plug on my part to highlight the benefits to members of this forum about the financial saving in joining SAC's Tom
  23. All right cards on the table you all know I work for SACs as a volunteer, and I don't have much time for the Countryside Alliance!! but!! this article on their latest heather routes E-mail magazine takes the biscuit, Its illegal to discriminate against anyone on the grounds of race, religion, sexual orintation, political beliefs or gender!! That being the case why doesn't the SCA give everyone a discount membership on this day?? irrespective of sex?? By the way!! at £30 our usual price, for a regular full membership and at £22 a discount membership for being a member of the Hunting Life f

  25. Feck me!! this is now sounding like sour grapes and bad losers loads of show's judges, and clubs have there critics and God knows I'm the first to jump in and have a pop when its due!! but in my opinion this is'nt deservered I know these lads and their club and what you describe is bollocks and definately not their style, As I said before I'll be attending with enthusiasm along with mates, and other working dog owners as, its a good show and deserves our time and support Tom Ps: This is my last post on the matter as its now decending into my club/show is better than yours, espec
