Teach yourself spelling its GAELIC not gailic!! (I'm only messing ) I'm glad your taking up the language are you aware its not officially recognised by the UK/British government?? It was banned from being spoken and taught in our schools at one time and you could be transported for seven years for conversing in it!. The English and Welsh language is recognised by the department of work and pensions along with Vietnamese, Urdu, Cantonese Punjabi and a multitude of East European languages but the three native languages of Scotland are not?? GAELIC, DORIC and BROAD SCOTS are deleted from the

click on the link this may be useful: http://www.andersonstrathern.co.uk/knowled...ml/LR/sspca.pdf Tom Ps: 10/22 OK! they can report to the fiscal if he asks and other circumstances, (if you don't give a statement thats less evidence against you, Allow the SSPCA to waste their time and money gathering evidence which may or may not come to court, they don't have infinite rescources, they depend on donations for finance?) but they still can't charge you or enter your premises cart-blanche they need sufficient reason and a warrant, Also an individuals right not to make a statement or

They're still only a registered charity with employees who have no special powers!! don't give them statements or make comment, don't allow them on your property without a warrant, If being questioned by police, here in Scotland? don't give any information except name and address, thats a legal requirement and only give that information to the police Under no circumstances give an interview with police in the presence of an SSPCA officer ask for them to be removed!! In Scotland you dont have to mention anything you later rely on in court that only applies in England and Wales?, your innoce

Thanks people it seems your all right, looking at 3 points and 60 quid lighter in the wallet there's absolutely no point in arguing or dragging it out, I'll just take the 60 quid of the wife's housekeeping as she's to blame for lending me her car whilst she's using her new broomstick she got at xmas. I'll just have to live with the 3 points Tom Ps: thanks for the replies

I fully admit I was driving and obviously at that speed? I've got a clean license and no endorsements, what can I expect?? Tom

Below is two threads from what used to be the SACS forum it outlines the reasons why I left I did'nt know anything about that piece of shit on the "SACS" website!! I'm as gobsmacked, sickened and as angry as everyone else especially after the work I put in the "SACS" website was updated on the 15 december 2008 I'd already left as development officer and a member on the 28th of November 2008!! I also removed my 8 month old grandson as a member of the association in disgust Ian Clark as "SACS Director is wholy responsible for the content and whats added to the "SACS" website, I have wh

I was there and we!! Scots got a special applause from our counterparts south of the border we had pipers, a sea of saltires and lion rampants and I was also interviewed by the BBC and a Dutch tv station I attended every march and rally I was asked to!! My signature photo of Clarrie, Johnny Scott and myself was taken at Trafalgar Square after the Liberty and Livliehood march my own view at the time was " Why are we doing this on a Sunday? we would have been more effectual marching on a weekday and closing London for the day!!" It was!! and still is the largest peacefull march/d

: If you know the keeper obviously you could'nt give a feck, at what he's trying to do wether its a conservation area or not!! Tom
-
There are different designations for conservation areas! eg: SSSI's = Special Site of Scientific Interest, just because an area has gamebirds on it it? does'nt mean it is a legal conservation area? In saying that does it really matter? the gamekeeper is only trying to protect his birds in an area he works and probably lives in? if it was me I'd co-operate and usually I'm a real bolshie b@stard that does'nt like authority, but this boy is only trying to hold on to his living and way of life even, if he is using this as a tactic to preserve them!! 1/ The correct plural of haggis is haggii, although under certain grammatical circumstances it can be haggises or even “wee yinsâ€. The name Haggii comes from the Latin for “harried onesâ€. 2/ The Haggis Hunting season runs from when they hatch (30 November) until 25 January. The 31st of December is particularly anticipated by Haggis hunters as it is when great herds of Haggii migrate north for winter. The correct term for stalking a haggis is “haveringâ€. 3/ Lewis Carroll’s nonsense poem “The Hunting Of The Snark†was originally called “The Hunting Of The Haggi

Here's a worthwhile charity that could do with the financial help that would allow them to attend more gamefairs and shows next year (2009) http://www.bada-uk.org/ Tom

The National Riflemans Association (NRA) in America, is predominantly a pro-firearms organisation active in lobbying Federal and State Governments, and not involved in securing the status quo of other fieldsports, despite this! many of its members, fish work dogs, are invoved in falconry, Most hunters in America use and are allowed to bear arms as prescribed in the American Constitution!! Every American citizen has the right to bear arms unless there's a legal impediment or the choice not to Tom

If they stopped having frequent hospitality sessions at the back of their tents for the toffs at gamefairs, spending massive amounts on non essential promotional litrature, giving vastly inflated salaries to a surplus of employees, they would'nt have too ask ordinary members for 40 quid, where does all their money end up, if they have to go cap in hand and beg?? If SAC's ever tried pulled a stunt like this I'd be kicking up feck!!!! Tom

I am being extremely civil I personally don't like being accused of taking things out of context or misquoting anyone!! and my use of words, is acceptable in the modern idiom as is the use of emotioncoms from this board If you ask IanB I'm sure he'll agree? this thread is not an argument its a discussion highlighting a view a senior BASC member has??, and if they have their way it could affect a great many on here who shoot and work their dogs Tom

Mungler!! Please don't accuse me of either misquoting or taking Mr Begbie out of context again This is the last paragraph of the twats post on the Pigeon Watch forum quote "As some PW members will know, it is not unknown for me to be critical of BASC from time to time. But I do try to base my criticism on fact and not on unadulterated mythology. At the end of the day no-one deserves to carry a gun in UK today unless they also carry a BASC membership card. Not only for the insurance (which only costs about £12 of the subscription), not only for the firearms expertise but -

Below, is a comment from Eric Begbie, Wildfowler, author and BASC member!! quote "At the end of the day no-one deserves to carry a gun in UK today unless they also carry a BASC membership card."end quote Eric Begbie ________________________________________________________________________________ _______________________________ Anyone else agree?? I personally think the man has lost his marbles?? He appears too believe you should'nt have a choice in what pro-shooting / fieldsports organisation you want to join, I've just dumped some of his books in the bin, as this is my freedom o

Thank feck!! were back Ian, Last night I thought my way of life was over, instead of posting on here, I thought my life was going back to the bad old days I'd have to start talking to my Mrs after 30 years of marriage, get involved in family things, have to pay ageing relatives some attention, even have to show certain feckers I care about them!! But a big thank you to IanB he's saved me from all that shit by opening the forum back up and life is back on an even keel All the above feckers can piss off!! all for the exception of IanB, there is a god I just did'nt realise he controlled li

Below is a reply Ian Clark the Director of the Scottish Association for Countrysports posted in another forum from I think a BASC member The thread topic was: SACS. What do they support in England?, Can't find any association with vermin control Tom ________________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________ Maybe I can help a little here. The Scottish Association for Country Sports was founded in 1994 by a group of sportsmen who were heavily involved in country sports in Scotland. Many of them were, or had been, part
