  1. in my experience if its running rabbit hare and deer pre ban it has a bit to do with breeding but mostly giving the dog the right opportunities when entering it and the ammount of time you have it out in the field, but if quarry that bites back is youre game then if its held back until the right age then tryed it has EVERYTHING to with breeding from the (right) stock
  2. you should of done a procedure copper lock on him then slipped him some of youre lengthy trunchen that would teach those civillians
  3. i recently had pups after i seperated them from the mother at about 4 weeks, 2 bitches were constantly (ganging) on the smaller bitch and trying to kill it, i just kept giving them a tanning everytime broke them out of it after about three days then there was no more problems. all terriers are notorious for fighting when bored but youve got to show them whos boss and what they can and cant get away with, the more experience you gain around them the better you will be able to deal with certain situations

  6. never seen or heard of one working in this country, from what ive read i dont think they would be suitable they run them in the dark so they have to give voice for the hunter to follow them, i would say from that they will be very headstrong and (houndish), who knows they might be in the lurcher section in the countrymans weekly for £1000 soon

  8. sounds like good advice, its a lottery in my oppinion, its hard to judge lurchers ive had picks of the litter and theyve ended up the smallest, and my fair share of jackers . the best lurcher ive ever had was the one know body wanted and cost me zilch

  17. dug a dog named rusty a number of years ago everytime we broke through it really was a miracle how he was alive, had to be retired at 3, there certainly not for the fainthearted thats for sure :sick:
