I was always under the impression it was for your mentor to write in to the firearms licensing department and state that you have reached a given level and that in his/her opinion you are now ready to go it alone.
I am mentoring a chap now and for the last seven months he has point blank refused to do any training, take on board any safety aspects of the sporting rifle and has some major issues with accurate shooting. If the licensing department phoned me up to ask my opinion about removing his mentoring condition, I am sure you can guess my response but never the less that's how the FEO expl
