in my opinion weight varies in the breed of the dog i dont listen to that dog should be this weight and that dog should be that weight my dogs get good feeds and if im gonna be running them hard i up the feed and if its gona be a cold night or day i up the feed those cold days and nights with the dog shivering causes the dog to drop there weight if they are too cold my old dog used to sleep in the run in any weather mad old git

in the past alot of small beddy crosses i have saw work and im talking small 19 20 inch tts did like to get stuck in 1 bitch my mate used to go bushing with would work like a terrier she would cop fox in the cover and scrap with them like it was going out of fashion, she had the heart she had the drive and for being guttsy or full or grit she had all that but i would not of put her down as being a dog that would tackle fox on her own alnite thats just my personal opinion, i used to run beddy crosses my self great dogs ideal little mooching dogs but not the way people make them sound sometimes i think the truth is pushed beyond its limits sometimes

about 30 years ago i was out lamping and my dog went missing i called her 4 hour i was looking for her but nothing of her .
next day went looking but could not find her went dog pound nothing .
a few years on about 5 i was lamping the same field as i lost my bitch when i cam across a man hole open with no top on it
ye just in the middle of the field i thought bloody hell what if someone fell down that ?
on shining my lamp in i could see on a ledge half way down some bones on looking closer it was my bitch i lost.
her collar was was still on her neck bone .
i could not believe it .
so from now on if i was to lose a dog i would look more harder around the field as you do not know what could be in them .
i was glad i new what happened to her but gutted i let her down when she needed me .
fkin hell mate that must of been horrible
it was not nice i just thought over time someone found her and then to find her like that was not nice .
it was also frightning a kid could of feel down it . the thought of it makes my hair stand up on my neck .
i had this happen mate i was bushing years back with a few pals i had my little russell bitch with me i walked her throughthis bit of rough i came out the other side i went into the next field not realising that she had gone the when i realised i called her and called this wasnt like her so i headed back into the cover no sign of her then i heard water splashing i went to the splashing there was a man hole she had gone down it and was paddling for her life i had to hook me feat on to the edge reach as far as i could to get her out she was one lucky dog, hope you get her back mate

I suposed it isnt an impossible feat to do aslong as the dogs are willing and the conditions are in yours and the dogs favour and the land holds plenty in the past ive had a few that the dog have just scooped up out the seat or have banged into a fence etc the only downfall to lamping them pre ban butt hats how it goes

in my opinion a dog has to earn the right to be bred off has to prove its worth over a good few seasons single handed and when ive bred dogs its been for my own purpose i have sold pups out the litter but thats only to cover jabs food wormers etc etc etc i always pick a dog that i have saw worker and it is what im looking for not just a picture of a dog that someone has put up and told me it has done this and then and then you find out OH DEAR its bred a bunch of pups not up to the job SHOW PONNIES!
