  3. Watched Peter fury interview and I really can't see how they can look too blame anyone else but themselves for their downfall I genuinely feel for anyone suffering depression, can come too anybody at any time, but if they knew he sufffered it surely they should of known being in the spotlight would have an effect , maybe they should of thought of that first before putting him in the spotlight Funny though cos he never showed no signs of depression when everything was going his way They maybe ought too look at the way they treat boxing expecting the whole sport too bow down too t

  8. To be fair if he has suffered depression it's all the more amazing he won it in the first place and that's something in itself is it not? A strain or break would be a far easier road back than a battle with depression, He should of left Britain years ago and gone too USA too train away from.distractions And family, at that level it's so focused and high pressure too perform that distractions are costly he needed a better management team too be fair too him a lot of what's gone wrong could of been avoided so easily but by a bit of professional input and sound advice I think he been ba
  9. I think when all this comes out on next couple of month, it will become apparent he would of been better off in professional hands lot of pressure in the lime light ffs he was world heavy weight champ and looked after like he won local ABA title a huge chance he fought hard for thrown down the toilet badly handled from start too finish, social media not helped but ultimatelu they chose too hold onto the fighter and it's backfired badly, killed the golden goose All the pressure created by going continually against the flow takes its toll imho Gunna be a sad end too this story, moral

  16. Best posts I've read on here for quite a while . Though I have to disagree in your first post with 'prior to salukis hare coursing was just that, running after hares'. Seen plenty of greyhounds and whippet/greyhounds catching hares very regularly, and pretty damned quickly too, even with 'law' before they were slipped. Not talking about the 200 yard slips which I've heard quoted many times in clips, but never actually seen, but probably the same as most coursing bred dogs actually get slipped at. And anyway, you've likened salukis to lurchers, so fair law coursing isn't really in the equat

  18. don't get me wrong I am not claiming the super dogs or perfection itself, my first one drove me to despair like most pups do, it would of been easy to write him off and blame the breeder type of dog etc, but all it took in reality was stepping back and looking at it fom another angle and seeking advice off others , the rest just took time and patienece and likely most of my remaining hair, but most thinhgs in life dont come easy or they dont if they worth having in the first place
  19. when a dog wont return to its owner , you really have to question why? easy too blame the dog, but I doubt the dog just landed on your doorstep via the saluki stork, no most go out and buy them, once it goes tits up, its much easier to blame the dog or the breed than to try look into ourselves and improve ,I'd be ashamed if I took something bred right with years of work behind it and made a right hash of it, Id look into myself first long before blaming the rest of the world n its bother
  20. The problem with most the input on these saluki threads is that most who comment have not even owned one, and if they have it usually stayed around year then bred from or sold on, Cant run in small fields , yea right not as fast as a lurcher, lack aggression one trick ponies wont come back stupid yet despite all the above statements and many others made in books on net over years the saluki still remains the oldest breed of lurcher out of them all, forget hancock plummer, THL, these dogs gave been providing man with food and sport for thousands of years, , unc
