  1. Its a bad pic but that's he's mother, she belly sister to ch Luke and produced Sam he broke English and Irish record, putting her to uncle buck next time she's in season
  2. Crottys Sam, double bred gr ch barney and l's nara, broke the Irish record and got game dog of the year, was a great dog in the yard good as gold with pups. Sadly no longer with us but we have he's mother here so hopefully breed something as good again
  3. There's a litter of pups in essex out of a first x deerhound/greyhound and a 3/4 non ped whippet 1/4 bull out of blackstaffs stuff and bigland line whippets but as far as I know the fella owns the bitch is looking 600 a pup
  4. Is he a first x and what's he out of if you don't mind me asking
  5. 2 fine dogs, was brindle bitch out of TL's shadow stuff?
  6. Bones are like glass and no stamina iv a bitch here was a terrible state when I got her she was that skinny you could see the shape of her skull, when I phoned about her fella told me she was a small bitch when I got to meeting point she wasn't that small just a bag of bones tbh I only took her cause I felt sorry for her, wormed her and fed her butcher scraps for about month then got her fit and out lamping, she's a good bitch on a rabbit kill around 8 rabbits with her then she's f****d only got injured once but iv only had her around 8 months, I got her to breed a litter from and used her whi
  7. Yeah lads I'm not saying dogs don't have styles I know that. My argument is I don't want a 70+lb dog doing the Ali shuffle before it takes hold that's all
  8. Yeah I understand that all dogs have style but I'm talking about if it has the choice and rather find a throat hold i wouldn't be happy with that dog tbh seen loads of foxes get away and if the dog hit cover hard enough and grabbed them anywhere a lot of them foxes would of been killed but the dogs running them took too much too soon and started to not like the sharp end.
  9. That's your opinion mate like I said in my opinion get a lurcher that you can lamp rabbits and have a spin of a hare with if your not bothered about what the dog does to kill game that bite back i just don't think half a game bred dog shouldn't look for hold at first sight
  10. Where not talking about whippet greyhounds or beddy xs where talking about Wheaton and Bullxs against things quarter there weight, anyways if your happy with your dog that's all you need, me personally wouldn't keep a game bred dog that chokes game out, I don't go and use champion pitbulls, 2x winners to look for a 20+lb foxs kneck to choke him out or big rough Wheatons that are pulling every weekend. There bred off game dogs to be game defeats the purpose of the breeding in my eyes, even in the pitbull world they don't match till over 2 years might give them a 5 - 10 minute roll at 18 months
  11. Wouldn't waste my time mate watching a dog that chooses it's hold, hares ain't my thing land in Ireland isn't big enough and too many bogs and gates and not enough hares either coursing clubs have them all netted, any dog with pitbull or Wheaton in the mix up ain't worth a wank if they choose there hold why keep a bullx or Wheaton x for foxes or other things that bite back if there picking holds is beyond me a decent collie hound will kill them by choosing hold, and you can still lamp everything else with it. 70lb dogs picking its hold against a 20+lb fox wouldn't be coming home pit it that wa
  12. What you gonna do when your pup takes a bad bite and don't wanna know anymore the only person to blame is your self and tbh if I was it's stick to running rabbit and hare cause your fox dogs only going to make average if they make anything at all
  13. I would be trying them till past Xmas unless it's a rabbit. Only going to end up with a dog looking for throat holds or not wanting it at all let pups be pups in my eyes after the 20 month mark atleast anyway. There a nice litter shame to break them after putting all that time into them and as I said don't no anything about the dam bit the sire has a lot of foxes under he's belt. Tbh if someone was getting a pup off me and told me they where gonna try it at 12 months they be told leave my yard and they wouldn't be leaving with a pup in there arms either
  14. He's a fine pup mate, best of luck with him
  15. I think the lad who owns the sire showed he's a couple things and went very well. Way to young to be tried in my eyes but some people can't be told hopefully he leaves her till next season she's a fine bitch
  16. Nice dogs what's in there make up if you don't mind me asking
  17. Listen I never had anything against these pups the breeding got out of hand, but anyway, what ever father was he was a great fox dog seen him kill bags of foxes week in week out, I always said a half x Wheaton or bull back to him would make fine pups and they have, they look stronger then him but he was racey. 18. Nicest dog on here in my eyes, let me know when you breed her mate. Atb fenman
  19. Cheers mate, yeah it is but you can't hold onto them forever he's at the 13 Mark now and served me well
  20. 14 weeks this Friday, just weighed at 38.6 pound, coming along nicely I think he's sire will have to be put down within the week heartbroken over the f****r but served me well, just hope this fella follows he's foot steps my old dog is he's great grandfather on one side and father on the other so high hopes for him
  21. My mate studded he's dog and got paid for it, If it was the lad owns the sire the price would be OK but the fella owns the bitch I'd say will be looking twice the price and gonna cost good few hundred to get back here to Ireland, so I'll see how easy he is on the price before I decide ?
