deerhoundgrey x colliegrey f1s put to 3/4 grey 1/4 saluki, failing that a wellbred working stock oldschool bitza lurcher. -
nice pics mate i especially like the deerhound grey, some of that old blood has now gone forever bred for work back then, most bred for the wallet these days, the lurcher world is getting worse and worse imo too many lurchers bred for the wrong reasons, nice to see some older stuff.

Why Merle? So you can crab em?. Who in there right mind is going to put up what type of bull they have used. Like ive said before. Some people need an IQ test before they start posting on here. atb stabba Why not but up the bull you have used its not against the law????????? just sick off people talking about bull x this bull x that but never till you what kind off bull cross they have and if yea cant talk about them y have 1 they wont put up pics of the baseline bulls because 90% of them are either shit or they havent seen the bull in question, looks as though the same things happenin

Also there s lots of first crosses about so there must be a fair few bulls to be used as stud, atb, stabba.

Could you get more powerfull leds for the tiablo so that it will cast a beam further, also could it be wired to a nice little battery pack that fits in youre pocket, 50 - 60 yard slips are sound but it would be a bit frustraiting if the quarry kept running out of the beams length, are they modifiable ?

train them not to pull youre arm off then, there nothing worse than a dog that pulls you around a feild. -
all the bull x experts on here and not one sensible answer ! truth be known half the time mate people dont know themselfs what was the exact makeup of the bull side, i think alot are staff x , some irish blood too, and some are pit x staff, put to grey. pics of peoples bull basline blood would be good to see.

over shooting lurcher in training... advice please?
merle24 replied to ol26's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
Dont think theres much of a conection between a dog overshooting is quarry and a dog being able to get its head down to connect, the dog in question is a saluki whippet also, not exactually a 30tts deerhound/grey. Salukis are the most agile of dogs, they can twist turn and spin like no other dog can, for this they can hold a hare or rabs for that matter, they overshoot lesss than others and loose less ground on stuff, they dont have trouble stiking either they just pick they time, some more than others. get a saluki or a saluki grey and spread its front legs apart ! they can do the f*****g -
over shooting lurcher in training... advice please?
merle24 replied to ol26's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
Dogs just keen and wants them bad, doesnt realise that slowing down the pace will help her connect, in time she will click, depending on the type of dog so will click faster than others, some never really click and just keep to that style of rushing in but them dogs miss alot of stuff and get knocked up, the saluki in her should make her box or course naturally, sounds lke shes running more like a whippet. Try feeding her a few hours before you go out, bit of tripe or whatever, this may slow her down a bit make her run a bit flat, then hopefully she might connect with a few then the penny -
Nice pups mate, bitch looks like deerhoundgrey x colliegrey, atb with them.

Why get rid of the DDA its there for a reason is it not, and a very valid one at that, did you not see in the news just lately of the 4 year old ripped to bits and killed in his grans house by his uncles pit bull type dog ?. At the end of the day dangerous dogs are a risk and liability to everyone.

depends where and when theyve been ran, 3 daytime hares on some ground at a certain time of year maybe nothing out of the norm, but at a differnt time of year ie january on different ground 3 daytime hares would be a very very good going. With a good number of hares and a time of year and on ground that favours the dog more, plus a good fit dog that knows the job then i reckon 9 daytime hares is doable, but it would have to be a very very special dog and in the wright time at the wright place. Going of places such as the fens or plains or anywhere where the hares have been pressured sa
