    Not to state the obvious but bear in mind that your dog is going to have many a fruitful seasons ahead only you can decide if the dog is ready mentally and physically . We have all been in the same position when you just want the dog to get its first couple of bunnys under it's belt . But what takes months of training and excercise could be ruined in a couple of runs I am sure you will decide whats best Good luck Atb.

    My views exactly my first ever dog when I was a kid was a collie whippet whos dew claws were left on nothing but trouble forever catching them causing them to bleed and unnecessary suffering for the dog. I only started this thread as I have just breed my bitch and I had this discussion with a work colleague today explaining why I will need to do do this when they are born apparently I am a cruel b*****d lol ......
