    I agree with mackay if the pups are content then that is a good indication that they are feeding plenty of grub for mum and most importantly water. I am no expert but just reared a litter 7 weeks old now I bought in some lactol and a feeding kit for pups just incase. for the first week I was mixing the lactol in with the dams food along with plenty of liver as she lost a fair bit of blood and to also help with the calcium. just keep an eye on both dam and pups any doubt give your vet a ring atvb with the litter.

    as long as it is trained and entered correctly lurchers can be quite versatile regardless of size.(ps check out the classifieds lol )

    personally if this dog hasn't had much exercise then I would start by giving it plenty of road work. with the dog being on the lead you can start to build up a bit of trust between you and also the dog will get used to noises traffic, people etc after a couple of weeks then move on to a small field or garden and work on recall. keep at it and little and often and plenty of patience. atb.

    Yes they were mate ... a bit less stressful now they are eating solids I am sure there will be a few more sleepless nights when the training starts...lol. hope them rabbits are breeding well up there my lads want to take there pup rabbiting in September. Lol....

    Personally I wait until I think pup is mature enough and also has a good level of fitness this can help prevent opening up when coursing. Also I agree that you should have the right conditions and ground to run there first rabbits. Don't overun the dog you are better off just selecting the rabbits for the dog .as the saying goes slowly slowly catch a monkey or inyour case a rabbit lol. Atb with the pup.
