  1. Visit My Website What the F88k??? qzone.qq.com lol - We'r english here pal
  2. The point made is that a HMR (lets say) has a 3km (2mile) range. So if you shoot upwards, missed the target, the round would follow its projective path and head back down towards the ground, 3km is a long way and it could go anywhere - unless, as stated, you have a 3km backdrop of nothing-ness.(if it makes sense) i wouldn't want to be hit in the face by a hmr/.22 round, even if it was fired a mile away I just dont shoot into trees, not saying its wrong as Mr_logic says, if its a thick tree, you would ''hope'' that you would hit the trunk of the tree if you missed the target.
  3. Well done on your outing, keep it up. try using small balloons. broken glass spread everywhere.....? it was on my mates farm where it doesnt matter but balloons could be fun as would be easier to put in difficult places still glass aint good for anything, when broken on the floor. Balloons are easy to put anywhere, as are cans full of water. hope you have fun! yeah might be a bit less messy Red bull can, full of water After collecting it, 25yards away - Big thud as the round hits, and water blasted everywhere - lots of fun!
  4. Great stuff mate - thats a good number in that time.

  8. call them first mate, The vermin on my FAC doesn't include fox (i have a .17hmr) i was told no fox, never! It does vary with different areas so please do call them to cover your arse
  9. not good chaps, hope no-one loses any money. we just had a firm go bust that owed us £4,800 - We'll never see that i'm sure
  10. tricky question that, one that i'm sure will have many different answers. Personally I go to each farm once a week. I've found that over lamping make the rabbits lampshy, the first flash of a light will empty the whole field within seconds and they wont come out for 20-30 mins! But every location is different and trial and error may be the best approch Happy hunting!
  11. all the way mate, last me 6 hours of use, with the dimmer. £100, bargin!
  12. so i can call them and ask if its been cleared, if so i can shoot there, if not the above procedure commences. Thanks Riohog
  13. Thought so, so i still need to notify the police of any new permissions and await thier responce?
  14. hello all, Got a question on procedures relating to gaining permission on a new farm/land. On my FAC it states ''the hmr rifle, mod, ammo......shall be used for vermin shooting.....on land deemed suitable by the chief of police for the area in which the land is situated....'' Closed FAC yes??? Now, when it comes to me gaining a new permission, i was told that i have to send in a letter, signed by the land owner, stating where the land is to my local firearms dept. then they check that either - the land has already been checked
  15. HMR mate - wind is not that much of an issue, been shooting my CZ452 with hornady v-max ammo for 5 months and little adjustment for the wind is needed to 120-140 yds, and after practice, 1/2 inch groups at 100 are so so easy, and 1.5 inch groups at 150yds again, easy-ish. ammo is pricey but well worth it cz452 £280-£325 16''/24'' barrel / thin or heavy barrel SAK Moderator £30 - £40 scope £???? i'm using a BSA essential 6-25x50 AO - perfect at £100 bi-pod £50-£100 sling - £15 + slip - £10 + All the best ammo, £8.50 (ish) per box of 50
  16. well done there mate - looks good. can i ask how much you paid for the NV add-on and IR?? Thanks
  17. Glad i got a few of 'ya! LOL http://www.i-database.co.uk/ .....
  18. Thought you might be interested to know that following the UK Government's freedom of information act you can now get access to ALL speed camera offences registered in the last 12 months. Did you know that every time your car goes past a speed camera, even 1mph over the set limit, it is registered and put on a database? You only get a ticket if you are way over the limit or, (this is the bit that I didn't know) if you receive over 10 near misses, you will be classed as a serial offender and get a ticket the next time you go just> over the limit. This
  19. I second that mate, £12 delivered from the states, what a transformation! Well worth the few pounds it costs to improve your shooting.
  20. with bore foam, copper remover, brush. after about 100 rounds makes me laugh when i see the 4 people that voted on my poll and answered - NEVER to cleaning! lol
  21. Following on from this post i have now sorted out the problems with losing zero all the time. I NOW clean after every outing, even if i only fire 3 rounds, bore snake, entire rifle and mod get a going over, and what a difference it makes. after the clean it'll take me 2/3 rounds to get back to previously set zero. this picture show the 10 rounds i fired after i cleaned this morning: The 1st and 2nd shot were off slightly, but as shown here the 3rd was with-in 3/4 '' of target. (today i was using the tripod, so standing - resting off the tripod and still a 3/4'' group)
  22. Deker - great stuff mate. the 17g hornady shoots well from my cz452. sub 1'' groups @ 100yds and easilly taking rabbits at 160 yds+ (off a tripod)
  23. sad to read this post mate - i feel for you I'll spread the word/pictures in the essex area best i can
  24. All makes perfect sense Deker, however, it seems that after evey clean the zero needs resetting, its costing me £4 after every clean. i know that it's common that after cleaning the groups will open up for between 4-10 rounds, but after putting 10 rounds through it after the clean the zero is different. If half the people who have answered the above poll only clean the bore after the groups open up, it does seem that its a personal prefference. Also got told today that the hmr will fire better when dirty, after 40rounds??? I'm thinking that every 100 rounds, the bore will get a go
