Steve S your wasting your time with this lot mate, all this liberal fools I won't comment coz some mug has already given me a warning status (very brave). Why would any non-whites want to join the BNP its like me wanting to join the Taliban? People have short memories not so long ago our sport was BANNED by the left! The same party that sent our boys to the middle east to fight their war. And also the same party that are happy to allow the scum and filth to line the streets and spew hatred at our returning soldiers. Lets see what happens in May time .............. When this coun

Arctic when your kids can't get work in 5 years time i'm sure they won't mind going over to India then hey. I see your from Woburn so after their 5 years you could probably use some of these Indian chaps to clean the mansion or look after the kids for you. Get in the real world, this country is being taken to the cleaners and I personally think lefty liberals like you are worse than the Indians themselves.

I've spoken before and agree with Bulldog, its quite simple lads and lasses a hundred yard walk down the polling station and a tick in the right box. If this march go's ahead I will be there and will not be alone and believe me it'll take more than a few old bill with batons to prevent pa*i ass from being kicked back to wherever it is they came from. Hello paul having kept GWP's I cannot see what the GSP will bring to the mix mate. In my opinion the GWP is the ultimate versatile gundog for a rough shooter, thats only my opinion however. I am currently looking for a dog purely for wildfowling as I no longer do any rough shooting and would like a good lab x GWP as all it will be doing is retrieving and I have had good reports on this cross and having kept wirehairs previously I would like some GWP blood in any pup I get but that is only my personal choice. If you are looking for a working dog I would be very reluctant to get a pup from 2

Shina in terms of health problems I read a very good article recently on "Hybrid Vigour". It was talking about the restricted nature of gene pools in pedigree dogs and this is the cause of alot of genetic problems like hip dysplasia. By outcrossing and opening up the genepoool these crosses are often free from such diseases.I'm looking for a GWP x Labrador at the minute. Have always had GWP's but would like to try this cross as I feel it would be most suitable for the ground I now shoot. Hurlock

Hello Adam a good rig of deeks well situated often work well. A badly used call however, will ofetn do more harm than good so you should practice until such a time that you feel it is close to what it should sound like. Try the CD's mate if in doubt. Hurlock

Hello Doug if your not interested in breeding i'd suggest a few goldie, linnet and roller canary cocks they'll all happily winter outside and will provide the best song. As long as there are no hens about they won't fight either. Hurlock

Bedlington Greyhound versus Collie Greyhound
Hurlock replied to wuyang's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
I'm a 3/4 collie man myself but would like to see 2 3/4 's of the above breeding crossed for certain quarry. I like the brains in my dog's but like fence hopper says sometimes too clever and certainly not point and shoot dogs. Hurlock -
It'll be the same as I vote now, 'pal'. No f****r. God (oops sorry I meant Allah Droid so as not to offend) help Tamworth. You won't mind reading your kids bedtime stories from the koran either will you.

Ferret UK sorry to hear about your situation. What is the breeding of the dog mate?

I agree that Salukis may have been bred 3/4 thousand years ago lads but that was for running gazelle on the desert grounds of the middle east wasn't it? Slightly different terrain to what we have over here. Not knocking any mans chosen breed of dog just interesting anology that they were bred 3/4 thousand years ago.

Barking. That's rather appropriate for the BNP Having been born in Barking I am certainly not laughing. When there are fewer white faces than black and white oaps are being mugged and robbed, the whites are forced to fight back and the only way possible is by voting BNP. There will be fewer people laughing when all the football lads from West Ham, Millwall et al start marching with the English Defence league and the uprising begins. Tamworth? Ha ha. We'll see who you are voting for in 5 years pal

'Striking' training exercises for young dog?
Hurlock replied to Hurlock's topic in Working Dog Health & Training Talk
Thanks for the replys lads. He's 11 month and a bit too cute, suppose its the collie in him. Yeah that was what I was thinking of the 'flirt pole'. But i'll try him with some of them dog toys that are funny shaped and rubber to give the effect of a bunny that may turn any way as well. Thanks for the advice. Hurlock -
Have to agree with Kiwi on this one, wouldn't let a GSP share the same kennel as my GWP. Hurlock

Hello forum, I read an old post about exercises using a sort of lure on a pole which was jerked in front of the dog to encourage striking? My collie x grey is one of the quickest dog's i've owned but seems reluctant to strike on some rabbits. It's as though he thinks its a game, he gets up on them in no time at all and if anything it looks like he's too fast he's a big lad 26" to shoulder and also tends to over shoot them, most he runs alongside. I was thinking the above exercise couild be useful in geeing him up a bit but was wondering if anyone had anymore advice. Would runni

Dunc Myself and my Dad have kept Wirehairs for many years now. Once you have them working they are unbeatable (especially for rough shooting) but dogs especially are hard work and very trying (dominance wise) a bitch may be better for a novice. They are good in water, have a great coat and are not scared of cover. A good general purpose dog. A springer or lab may be better but shooting over a pointer takes some beating. Like all HPR's they are slow to mature but hunting instinct is second to none due to the dutch and german lines they do not keep or breed from rubbish mate. Hurlock

Cheers mate, i've knocked up some tunnels with ply wood as per JohnB's site. Hopefully they do the trick. Should I set the tunnels up first before I put the traps in so the rats get used to them and should I leave traps (which will be new) outside to become weathered and remove the "new" smell? Cheers lads Hurlock
