  1. Loved the pictures- they really captured the atmosphere- loved the dogs Thankyou for sharing
  2. Had one done this week at £55
  3. Had this problem before with a young Stafford. In the end hormaone jabs stopped it happening . If left outside too long the danger is damage to such a sensitive area
  4. Poor animal just looks terrified If no one is prepared to handle regular to ensure they are tame why on earth would you keep them?
  5. I am having one done here in Essex on Monday I have been quoted £40 - i am kinda hoping that there shall not be " extra costs" added on My vets have done the op before- they only said they would rather castrate as it is easier but they seemed confident in what they shall be doing
  6. We can be added to a database if needed. Based in Essex we have guns, dogs and smoker Great idea!
  7. ok We have been looking all day-no joy. Neighbours etc we are telling as we can contact them-the plan tonight is fresh food in a hutch on the floor with plenty of bedding in the hope she will settle in there. Will keep looking of course - trying to find traps or i may need to borrow if poss Thankyou
  8. Hi All Got up this morning- my lad went out to clean out the hutches before school and found one of the ferrets has escaped from a "fixed" hutch. She is really small -not long had her as she was a rescue - she hasnt been out much and so totally unfamiliar with the great outdoors. We cannot find her anywhere- i shall go knocking st neighbours etc as soon as i have the little ones to school but does anyone have any tips as to where she is likely to try and go? Or is it a totally hit and miss affair? She fed last night and so cant be hungry yet but is quite skinny
  9. We get the odd black rabbit down here in Essex- one just the other day. I have never had any choking incident with eating whole rabbit- but i do try to make sure they have been frozen for a 5 day minimum before feeding because of fleas(which the dogs have caught from them before)
  10. Having watched a GSD suffer a fatal bloat(due to owners' hesitation in seeking vet help) i would say please dont take the risk. As for avoiding bloat - jmho but feed raw
  11. Those of mine wintering out are eating double their summer quota per day. If you are feeding him well, have wormed the dog and provided adequate bedding i would be at the vets tbh Hope you can work this out
  12. I have a young Lakie/Russell here that shall be worked in one way or another- it is my first of this breeding so i shall be interested to see how they turn out too although everything looks good to me so far
  13. Snapped these this morning- not the best but thought i would share as i havnt posted any of my dog pics yet. I shall add some more of the others soon Thanks for looking. Comments on the lurcher appreciated- he is my first and is just 7 months

  16. Hi All My 'Ole man just got his FAC through and went out yesterday to buy a new gun. My question is as follows: It states on the cert that he needs to now notify the issuing CO of Police that he now owns this gun. Can someone please tell me now he goes about this please? His cert has been filled out by seller etc ok it just isnt clear what he needs to do yet Thankyou
  17. Has anyone here used these folk before to do a deer course? If so what did you think?
  18. Hi there I dont have any experience with Whippets but i do of working my dogs at differing weights . A dog stripped down shall run/turn alot faster but can only keep it up for short bursts quite simply because they dont have any reserves. I have quite watched dogs literally work weight off in a hard day out. If i wanted a dog to work hard over a longer period i wouldnt expect it to do so if stripped . It is horses for courses ,so to speak lol
  19. Really nice looking dogs- looks like you have puppy riots!
