    Spoke to old farmer today was suprised with what his big working collie had killed said if it wasnt working sheep in field it was hunting the hedge rows

    had one these moments today. my little collie whippet lurcher been beating 3 years never chase a bambi up there. today was on point in massive bramble patch i sent her on thinking was a bird. i carried on walkin climbing over fallen trees with the terrier the mrs didnt want hold anymore. whilstling lurcher usually comes straight away. few mins later came running back from out front. lies on floor like knew done something wrong. i thought might of been on fox scent that was just seen running in woods. i carried on got to end drive placed a pricked pheasant the lurcher just found and retrieved w

    my lurcher some how completely ripped one of her nails off so its just the wick left. an hour later its stopped bleeding, just looking for advise on treatment, will the nail just grow back? and how long she will have been on lead for etc

I think i can get her to do most things except comepletely direct her back to something hidden straight away, i can send her back fine, get her stop look at me. she usually finds just would like save time if was picking her up and direct her straight to it with hand signals. hopes this makes sense

    I have a bitch i use for beating but would like to try picking up with her, she retrieves feather, think be fine when sees the bird fall but what i am after the advise on being able to send her to bird shes not seen fall. ie hand signals?/? cheers hope someone can help

    i think this could be handy x if got best of both breeds obedience of collie natural retrieving of lab. ive got a col whip that i use for everything, works like dream beating . will hopefully having ago at picking up with her end this season. best part of it is all strange looks i got bringin a lurcher beating now everyones admitted how good she is, steadiest dog up my beat. oneday I wouldnt mind trying bringing on a pup from pure working hill collies for beating/picking.

    If you want a proper beddy you will wait. I wanted a beddy for few years but waited first possible litter was all dogs and I wanted bitch so waited till next good litter and now have 7 month old bitch
