  1. Can't say until we see a picture as its only a brief description, remember though because of the time of the year you will be digging a lot (I know because I went to do a job today on a xmas tree farm) and the warren was under a huge holly hedge. Its personal preference really, if you can see the holes, and net them up then I would say do it, but if you can't I would say don't. But each to their own. All the best, Joe
  2. Probably something stupid like the RSPCA found it with broken legs when it was young after falling out a tree or something, and amputated them and then reintroduced it to the wild. JoeD
  3. Just a quick question, is their anywhere else other than your house where you can keep a shotgun as my mum wont allow guns in the house, which is really winding me up as I have been given the chance to help out with some pest controller controlling foses and he said I need an SGC and shotgun. All the best, Joe

    Sooooo proud

It's a great sport, tough as well, fair play to the lad and well done to him. JoeD
  5. That's what I'd do if I was brave enough to try them! I used to work in an Italian restaurant in my teens, and that's precisely what the chef told me to do with them. Plain old garden snails in a bucket (with a lid!) full of lettuce for a few days. They are nice if you want to give it a risk, but if you cook them properly then their is no risk of getting lung worm off of them, or anything else they carry. JoeD
  6. Just feed them on organic lettuce for about a week in an old fish tank or anything where they cant escape so something with a lid, make sure it has air holes though, and when they are ready boil them until ready which should be only a few minutes, pull them out (more of a twisting action with a coctail stick) and then a bit of garlic butter and then reheat (I like it with a bit of oil) and the you should have some tasty snails All the best, JoeD
  7. BBQ rabbit (the younger the tastier) marinated in reggae reggae sauce and just bang it on. JoeD
  8. Haven't done the whiskey yet, and the cider went well, except for a few bottles exploding.
  9. Just wondering if anyone has any simple ale or mead recipes that they wish to share, I am looking at making nettle ale but any recipes will be tried. All the best, JoeD
  10. Is there any chance of you PM'ing me those links as I want to start up bee keeping one day soon. Thanks, JoeD
  11. Any chance you could write up stage by stage on how you did it? All the best, JoeD
  12. When the undergrowth dies down, usually after the 1st frost

    Stolen

They may think it's funny but I personally have given hours of my own time before and after college and during the holidays looking after them, making them friendly enough for young children to come and experience animal interaction, and I looked at them as my own. So they may think it's funny but it is just wrong and I and everyone involved in them are genuinely upset. JoeD
  15. Cheers for all the advice anymore advice will all be listened too. JoeD

Don't have a clue, I doubt it but you never know these days. JoeD
  17. Replied the same time you wrote this, I have homes for any kits. JoeD
  18. I have homes for any kits so before anyone asks, I have everything prepared :-)
  19. My college have asked me to put this up, 2 male ferrets (recently snipped) have been stolen from Oaklands College in St Albans. They are really friendly and both have bite marks on their knecks, and both are albino. The whole of animal care are really upset over it. If you are / have been offered 2 ferrets in the St Albans area matching this description please let me know. JoeD
  20. I know this post is a bit pointless but I am breeding my 1st ferret litter :-) and I am really really excited. JoeD
  21. I would carry on but not do it in public as in on roadways.
  22. Ok I'm not sure if this has been posted already or not but I have become rather fond of the odd bit of whisky and am wondering how do you make it? As I like to try and make whatever I eat or drink. All the best, JoeD
  23. Today while on the bus I saw someone on the bus with a gun slip, I am pretty sure he there was a gun inside as he had a filled bag of something that I can only assume he shot. I just wanted to know if theres any laws saying you can't. Before people say oh he wasn't doing any harm or mind your own business or whatever, I am not fussed just curious as to whether there are any rules or laws. JoeD
