  1. I don't know about bluing at all and it worked so good, i was amazed. If you try it I hope you get the same result on the airgun metal. ATVB Tom.
  2. Great project Jimmy I can't wait to see the finished result. I don't know much about bluing, as I have only done it once a few years ago to an old side by side and used this stuff.... Phillips Professional Cold Blue 250ml 848820009939 | Aaron Wheeler WWW.AARONWHEELERGUNSMITH.CO.UK Phillips Professional Cold Blue 250ml 848820009939 It did a great job I was well happy how it came out.
  3. That's awesome, theres some great guys on this forum.
  4. Same here pods are handy on wooden platforms when you have no choice but I prefer use sticks too. So they can point where you want. If I need to I use Nash rear rest when locked up..... Nash Butt Lock Rear Rod Grip Rest - Small or Large Available WWW.EBAY.CO.UK The Butt Lock's levers clamp your rod in a vice-like grip and keep your rods more secure than... I much prefer these to a pod
  5. I use an NGT quickfish pod, it is great for the price.
  6. Sounds like you did a great job. Very satisfying improving your spring gun. Wow this forum is quiet 2 years ago this would have been an amazing thread. Wish you all the best with it!
  7. Good your getting out Jimmy, I cannot imagine how hard its been for you. Fresh air and the outdoors will help I inadgine. All the very best to you.
  8. Hi! I was after a new gun and was after picking up a .177 hw99. I ended up getting a diana stormrider (a rebadged pr900w) as soon as I picked it up I thought wow! For £200 brand new. It is a tiny little thing, very light and nice looking. It comes with a screw off moderator, 9 shot mag, single shot tray and a seal kit. Iv fitted a discovery scope and done a bit of back garden close range shooting and its pellet on pellet (obviously needs testing at long range for accuracy test) I'm chuffed with it. I get 4 9 shot mags before refill which is so easy with a pump and after 36 shots its still in
  9. Cheers for that villaman, did you order them from China? Are the turrets able to be lifted up and turned to the zero marking, once you have zeroed your gun? Cheers.
  10. Hi guys I've been looking at scopes and ordered this... DISCOVERY VT-2 3-12X40SF Large Wheel Shock Proof Hunting Rifle Scope for Air Gun WWW.EBAY.CO.UK Magnification: 3-12X Objective Dia.: 40mm Tube Diameter: 25.4mm(1inch) Length:... I probably should have asked before I ordered it but I was wondering if anyone has/used this scope? And what did you think to it? Cheers.
  11. Oh wow I didn't know they where still about, in my childhood in the 90,s I used to buy a tin of 500 for £2.50. That was my weekly pocket money gone. Them and hustlers in the yellow plastic twist top tub (£2.99) I used to think they where high power with two sealing rings ?
  12. Looks great im going to get one of these soon. Was the standard mod any good? And was it easy to replace with an aftermarket one?
  13. I did that with mine too. On the five quid one I nipped them up with an adjustable spanner then all was good.
  14. Hi If I remember rightly it was about 4 pumps or so.
  15. Hi no not yet I don't have a pcp at the moment but I am getting one very soon ready to get out when lockdown ends.
  16. Pretty manky story lol when I was a kid I was with my uncle eating an ice cream, a gull crapped and it went down his t shirt. He wiped it off with his finger and sucked it off ? he thought it was off his ice cream ? My workmate was on holiday at Scarborough his son shone a lazer pen on the roof of a nearby hotel in the dark and they went nuts. Hence the lazer pen idea ?
  17. The hose is fitted with a qd adapter that takes standard size best fittings, which is a bonus. Im that impressed iv ordered another to put away.
  18. Iv put it together and pumped it up. It just needed a tighten as the guage, hose etc was a bit loose. It came with a bag of spares. I pumped it up and its held its pressure for 20 mins so far not a movement on the guage. Im made up with it, I can't understand how they do it for the money!
  19. Thats what I did i got an adapter off ebay for a couple of quid.
