  1. For anyone contemplating reloading for a .260 rem. Today i resized a SAKO .243 case to .260 rem to answer a question someone asked me. Cleaned the once fired case with US cleaner Tummbled to dry Lubed Sized Case lenght trimmed 100gn bullet fitted Chambered as per normal .260 rem case with no doughnut ! I would advise to buy .260 cases but if on a budget it can be done. ATB Coldweld
  2. Well, apparently he did but it burst, the condom wasn't big enough you see. Guess that runs in the family too then. Or it could have been a cheap one like your broken scope
  3. A chap who works for me had convictions not unlike your's but also includeing Police assault. He got his sgs five years ago with a covering letter that VERY strongly told him if he was arrested [ note not convicted] for Any drink or violent related incident he would lose his ticket. I am pleased to say last month his new ticket came through without a problem . Try again with all the reasons you think a pistol is the tool for your job, it's the only way you will know for sure. 4. I have not scrubbed mine for ages. Clean the mod every now and then as it fills up with crap.
  5. I think John was trying to before the chukkle bro's woke up.
  6. Gosh it's the Berkshire trio I guess it's all in the name John I guess that means no TopDown, he appears to have a very big mouth and very small balls! Still waiting for a response to this as well.. To be honest I'm amazed that anyone on n open forum would admit to reloading and supplying ammunition to a friend. Isn't that illegal? John Making suggestions as to legality needs legal backing...ACT and section would be appreciated! Deker I struggle with you John, there are times you appear almost human, but just because you read it in a book or on the web doe
  7. That wouldn't be a problem for you though fella would it! Sorry, couldn't resist! And yes, black insulating tape is what I've always used. Good for keeping muck out, and not too much of a disaster if you forget to remove it, though obviously not advisable! What a shame your dad did not use either Sorry cheap shot but an easy target.
  8. To be honest I'm amazed that anyone on n open forum would admit to reloading and supplying ammunition to a friend. Isn't that illegal? John Making suggestions as to legality needs legal backing...ACT and section would be appreciated! Here he is BEGGING for more :friends: :11:
  9. Go RETRO french letter was the WW2 protector . Also usefull for a water carrier and can be used for birth control.
  10. Ase do more than most . Speak to Peter Jackson at jackson rifles he is very helpful.
  11. Hey John I get the impresion that you think something smells fishy ! While it is not against the law to reload for another, the gift of ammo MUST be shown in both parties FAC's. Whats brown and sloppy and looks like cow S*** ?
  12. Please support this with factual data. Hunter Zero , You must know that Logic or his B*tt plug Pecker don't do fact . Trawl through the web ! Traw through their post's and fact is not in evidence . Lots of abuse though
  13. MR Logic You have the same complaint as me as i can't read according to your Ludite friend. Look at my post I have NOT said the .223 or the .308 was a wildcat, i said the three chamberings came from wildcats and load developmants.
  14. Matt how many years loading experiance have you got ? How long have you been shooting centre fire rifles ? Just wondered as you don't seam to know much about chronographs. Check you posts if you are struggling to see where this is going
  15. Have to agree with Logic ! Not worth the extra cost unless you buy the best die's & scales and are shooting comps.
  16. Perhaps you could enlighten us to what having the balls to be different is meant to imply. After Safety, there is only one thing that is important in shooting and that is getting the most appropriate calibre for your requirements, what the f**k has balls got to do with anything? The likes of .223/.243/.308...Common as muck are useful/appropriate/successful/popular because they are easy to come by, versatile relatively inexpensive etc, etc, EVERYTHING else becomes a little more specialized and therefore a little less versatile! That isn't a criticism of any calibre, it is simply a s
  17. Good choice ! Glad you have the balls to be different . ATB coldweld
  18. Cluson 55w is the one you want hand held and rifle mount ! Excerlent back up IF you need spares or back up. Lightforce have good reflectors but are cheaply made heat up the handles and need rewiring NOT a good advert .
  19. Matt Can you explain which components are cheaper when loading .243 as compaired to .260 or 7x08 ? Is less meat damage not an improvemet over the .243 ? Do you think that 105 gr max bullet is not a limiting factor ? as not all .243's even like 100gr I cant see what you grounds for quoteing availability or volume affecting price, case's are rarer but i could order from Reloading solutions and Norman clarke and have them here for tuesday £ 30 per 100, powder and 6.5mm bullets any gun shop in the country.
  20. Matt What i was saying is the original post said he was looking at reloading ! And thought about 6m ppc . Yet we get straight on to .243 again as the UK's kill everything that walks caliber ! While i agree it is one of the most used and avalable calibers in the UK, and can kill all uk legal quarry . The facts are there are BETTER calibers avalable that are mainly RELOADED due the the lack of comercial Ammo. Although we are all guilty of thinking that one's own caliber is the best ! Fact is the .260 rem can do all that the .243 can do but flatter faster further and with more energ
  21. I sometimes wonder how people fill in their FAC application as some answers show they don't read properly
  22. .260 out classes the .243 [flatter and more energy] and is out performing the .308 for bench rest shooting ! Has about the same felt recoil as the .243. It also excells as a reloaders catridge,With no problems for any componants ! can even use .243 cases or .308 cases if you don't want to buy .260 cases .
