Why am i always the subject of folks altercation fantasies ? Traditionally West Ham have always been renowned for the young talent we brought through,very few West Ham sides over the past 50 years have not contained at least 3 or 4 regular first team home grown players....ok at the moment theres only 2 Declan Rice and Mark Noble but i put the blame for the recent lower numbers squarely at the feet of that silly fat c**t Allardyce.......our academy/youth squad had for years and years been run by Tony Carr,a brilliant talent spotter who raised a lot of young players up from local leagues to play at the very highest level ( the 2010 England World Cup team

I agree we are all made different an " opponent " is motivation enough for any halfway competitive person.....but i always felt that the most purest form of competition was when the opponent was myself,i always found the most interesting battles in sport were with myself as they required total 100% honesty.

I dont think its so much that it was a harder punch its where it landed....he hit Fury with those big swinging flashy looking punches but the Ortiz one was a horrible punch to have to take......do you remember the fight when Mike Tyson first ever became champion against Trevor Berbick that was a similar punch that ended that.....he had caught Berbick before that with big flashy swings and wobbled him but the punch that finished him was a straight shot high up on the head that ruined Berbicks equilibrium.....not too dissimilar to the punch Wilder hit Ortiz with the other night.....as a fighter

The shot that Wilder knocked Ortiz out with was a far more damaging shot than the shot he hit Fury with......any fighter will tell you they would rather get hit flush on the chin than high up on the head like that your equilibrium go,s and you just cant recover the count could of reached 30 and he still wouldnt of seen the round out. Fury doesnt take a good shot you are right but he has good powers of recovery and is efficient with his energy.

Oh man we was diabolical.....gutless even....i was delighted with a 3-2 loss it makes it look close ! Im not into the whole " blame the manager " thing but this geezers times up i think... i never wanted him in the first place we only thought it was a good move because he was a big name but he,s got the energy and motivational qualities of a tin of salmon i dont know what its going to take to realise Mark Nobles legs have gone,i mean i love the lad but he,s finished at this level it takes him a full minute to turn around !!!.....and as for the goalkeeper id rather put the manager in goal.

I got a mad idea into my head a few years ago that i wanted to own an island ....what a wanker ?.....i got the ball rolling with a property firm who found one in my budget off the coast of Cyprus that wasnt much more than a f****n great big lump of rock but i did go and view one off the coast of Cork it was called Mannions Island it was literally a 5 acre lump of mud sticking out the water we stayed in a little b & b on the mainland the old boy served us up breakfast and he enquired what we was doing there ....like a complete melt i pointed out the window and said " ive come here to buy th

That Wilder is one weird fighter aint he ?.....he,s terrible.....literally an awful fundamental boxer......but stone me what a marksman,i heard someone compare him to Tommy Hearns which i thought was a terrible comparison Hearns had a lot of skills and ability......Wilder literally has 1 punch....but what a punch that is.

I thought John fought the perfect fight his tactics were spot on and he followed orders brilliantly he had been working before the fight on explosive legs,not getting into a battle of jabs with Smith but literally lunging into range and leading with the straight left down the middle....i dont think Johns a better fighter than Smith by any means but i do think he deserved the win the other night....it was close enough that you cant scream and shout about losing but some of the scoring was ridiculous.John landed the better punches,was constantly pushing the fight and made more of a dent on Smith

If you had kept going towards Margate its a totally different kettle of fish ive had to go there 3 or 4 times of late and every time ive been there its like Beirut !!....i remember going to Bembom Bros in Margate as youngsters it was a lovely little coastal town....it just seems like anywhere hordes of immigrants are put the area immediately starts to decay,property prices suffer.....Kent was always seen as " posh " when we was young but Margate right along the coast to Reculver maybe further i dont know....going down the toilet now !

We probably had the chat about it at the time mate and i can only repeat what i said then i never wanted the move.....and the reason i never wanted the move is because i think we are a unique football club with a unique fanbase ( ok we all think that ?)....we are not a very demanding bunch,football to my generation of regular 25+ game per season West Ham fans is more about traditions and togetherness than finishing top 10 or nicking a European place etc.....its about the day itself and the rituals of match day and the whole togetherness feeling that Upton Park gave us.....i knew that would be

Good for you....i did look into all that Fantasy Football caper as i thought it would be a nice little interest rather than losing my dough betting on games ?....but it was all a bit time consuming and a little bit more involved than id anticipated.....i keep an eye on the leagues abroad i know Monaco havent started well but like you say beyond the top couple of sides im not sure its the strongest league..... i heard through the grapevine that Toulouse have offered Wilf off here a family size Buche de Noel if he takes up the holding midfielders role before Xmas ?

Ive been all over in that ground mate i spent most of my youth on the South Bank but late 80,s would use either the North Bank or the Chicken Run.....ended my days there in the West Stand.....still miss that ol gaff dont you mate just aint the same since.

Its funny the way certain teams stick out in your mind i could probably still name that Forest team of the late 70,s early 80s from 1 - 11 ? I remember Shilts looking up at us in the North Bank with utter contempt ?....i mean what abuse can you give to what i suppose at the time was the best keeper in the world maybe ?

Thats it mate...i recently had a look round a few local rescues with a view to homing a dog but having had a natter with the nutty birds running them i just couldnt bring myself to do it,not only was they trying to tell me what dog i could BUY off them and giving me advice about things they have no right to advise anyone on....but i thought if this poor animal has had any influence from you it,ll end up back where it started....fruitcakes for the most part !
