  1. You're right there Buster thats the last time for me. I think i'll be heading stourbridge from now on. Thanks again lads
  2. Hi earlystart Both my rifles are .177 they are tuned to between 11.6 - 11.8 ft/lb, with an 8.4 grain pellet this works out to be around 6.4 ft/lbs on impact at 50 yards. With .22 using a 16 grain pellet it works out around 7.5 ft/lbs at 50 yards. Most air rifle hunting is usually between 20-40 yards. For a head shot on a rabbit you need 4-5 ft/lbs on impact, so yes it is enough. If you are looking for a springer I would recommend the HW97 or an HW77.
  3. Hi Buster I gave them a call this morning he did'nt know who it was, now he's saying £5.50 for a refill but its still £44 for a test. When i took my bottle in for the test and he told me the price, i said thats to much i thought it would be around £15 he replied no we charge that for a refill.
  4. I was amazed by this video when i got into airgunning. If only we were so lucky.
  5. The last time I had a refill there it was only £5. I'm going back first thing in the morning and i'm demanding my bottle back. And he had the cheek to say it will be ready by tuesday. Thanks lads for the replies.

  8. Air Arms Field H&N Extra Heavy Barracudas (Bisley Magnums) H&N Field Target Trophy The Air Arms being the best in my rifles out to 70 yards. HW100T, 97k V-Mach and Falcon FN8
  9. Hi Take a look here mate. http://www.gunstar.co.uk/Air-Rifles/Benjamin-model-347-gun-for-sale-gs39790.aspx
  10. Hi The one on GunStar sold for £300 scoped. There is a few more going for around £375. http://www.gunstar.co.uk/Air-Rifles/RWS-scimitar-gun-for-sale-gs64196.aspx
  11. With the impact shock of a .22 why would you need them? Would you consider using hollow points if you had an FAC .177 pistol? you would get the expansion and only use a pistol 15 yards max, but you would only go for head shots using a .177 so there is still no point in using them. Both my rifles and pistol are .177 so i'll be sticking to head shots only. My rifles are accurate out to 50 yards on paper using domed aa pellets.
  12. Hi Clubshot Would you feel confident hunting out to 40 yards with your .25 calibre rifles.
  13. Hi Lads I've been messing around with the chairgun software and it turned out that a 21.6 grain pellet scoped in at 25 yards with 4x zoom would need roughly half a mildot for every 5 yards up 45 yards. The BSA Pylarm pellets at 18.3 grain came out at one mildot at 40 yards and two at 50 yards. Has anyone tried a sub 12 ft/lb .25 air rifle?
  14. That sounds a bit over priced to me you could pick up an S400 for that. I would offer him around £180 - £200 max to be fair.
  15. Cheque cleared first it is then. Thanks a lot for the info lads.
  16. Hi Lads I've got someone interested in my BSA Goldstar air rifle but they want to pay by cheque I told him that the rifle will not be posted untill the cheque has been cleared. What are your thoughts on this lads would you accept a cheque?
  17. Where did you get the 10 shot aluminium magazine from? the originals were the weak point of an otherwise excellent gun? Hi I ordered one from T.W Chambers. BSA has recently produced a new mag for the Goldstar.

  20. Spoke to his mate today who is trying to sell the HW45 for him. Offered him £50 i'll just have to wait and see.
  21. I wish I could have got it a little cheaper but he would'nt budge, knocked him down from £175. He also has a HW45 in perfect condition but he wants £75 for it. How much do you think I could get for it second hand? Thanks
