I'm cringing just reading that, i'd bet my savings account at some point down the line your gonna have deaths............ i have them like that for years now and havent had any problems it's just a matter of what dogs can be but together i know the collie greyhound dog cant be but with other dogs but he he grand with bitchs and the whippets never cause any problems but i am building a new pen to but the 3 terriers in together but i do have a feeling when the patterdale pup matures she might have to be pen alone or with the lakey dog

thats the same way i view it mate thats why i steak them at the entrance and dont let them see the dig but why let the dog travel to a stop end thats already being dug? surely if he is keen to go then backfill andbringthe dog to a handy earth and let him self enter and dig the dog out. surely this is far better for the dog i dont mind giving a pup a stop end but its the last resort id much rather get them to self enter by spikeing them near entrance holes while other do works the hardest part of getting a terrier working is to get them to travel most terriers will tackle a fox but

Stormont Launch for Great Game Fairs of Ireland
lurcher330 replied to AlbertJ's topic in Gamefairs, Meet Up's and Events
L330, The Stormont launch was the all Ireland launch of both fairs - we follow this up with a Press breakfast at Shanes Castle on the Friday morning before the fair and a press launch on the evening of the 27th July at Birr Castle. We have launched before at the Michael Collins Barracks and other public venues in the south but have found that the format that are using this year works best for media coverage. Albert sound Albert just if you were im only down the road from Leinsteir house so i would have been there to offer my support I hope you're coming to Shanes Castle -

thought i'd ask this how many lads let their terriers see their first quarry from the stop end or do you want them to enter completely on their own .i've been out with lads and when they have dug to a working terrier they have let young dogs to have a go when they lift the other terrier.i have let young dogs in after i have dug but only if they will travel from one of the original entrances but letting them straight in from the freshly dug hole will not do any good when it comes to finding quarry

Keeps should tell you all you need to know, many off here who have seen 'em out have remarked on how good they are and the photos are there too. Timmyk had a good 'un a few years back that did very well, i seen this dog run for many years and rated it highly, especially on big stuff. Romany added Beardie to his lurcher line years back and was very happy with the results too! is there many working beardies around to start a baisis for breeding genuine 1st x beardie greyhounds because i never actualy seen a working beardie over here in Ireland or come to think of it a genuine 1st x be
