    WM. i keep my plummer for my own enjoyment. i dont need to justify owning them. i dont know you or your dogs. so cant defend them. to be honest i dont want to get involved in petty squabbles on the www. what i will say is i have never bred a plummer. so i;m not qualified to comment on this side of the debate. if and when i do. it will be from worker to worker. or not at all. i have no involvement with any club be it plummer or otherwise. i moderate on the plummer forum. that i my only involvement. you crack on with your self promotion and i'll do my thing.

    its good to here about the good terriers from yesteryear. but its the dogs on the ground now that will shape the future.

    best alrounder ive had is a plummer bitch. has a fair bit of bull in her also. so i.m also a twat. as for any good earthdog will make a good allrounder is bollocks.ive seen some good earth dogs that arnt up to much on top.

    that would depend on what you want from a terrier. if its purely earthwork. i would go for a well bred patt. if i was looking for a versitile allround terrier i would go for a wellbred plummer. horses for courses

    it is about control. controlling the bloodlines. if i take a gift i will keep it and breed it however i please. i will offer a pup or line back. but if its a gift its a gesture of trust as far as i'm concerned. i would however make it clear that if i take it its mine. no strings attached. i wouldnt entertain owning and working a dog that isnt truly mine. the gift sytem works well for some. but it isnt for me. good topic

    if matt has a mind to. i'm sure ace will get a chance to prove he has what it takes. i for one wouldnt baulk at 150 quid. Ace i off a very nice small bitch that works well below. in Ivy .matt puts a lot of thought into his terriers and in my opinion is one of the few that gets out regular. and does very little boasting. and i breeding a very tidy small type of terrier

    ive a bitch thats been dug to a few times. and bolted a few with her. she is keen as feck and the only thing thats held her back is her owner .and the fact that she is one of the big barrell chested types :laugh: . cant fault her though. if i could only keep one terrier it would be her she is the outcross stuff. and pride of my fleet
