  2. anything that rely's on us to feed, provide water, clean, provide bedding, keep safe is a pet in my eyes..whether it is worked or not doesn't matter to me, I know people who give less time/affection to cats than what we give to ferrets..Just my opinion
  3. i know what your saying but not everyone has a constant supply of meat, i know when i first got mine the lady who bred them gave me some dried food to put me on for a few days till i got myself sorted so i just carried on giving that to them, i tried to feed them soley on meat but it was costing me a fortune, so now they get a bit of both

  8. i use petsathome ferret food, dont have any problems with that, i think its £5.50 for 10kg...the get plenty of raw chicken, turkey ect

  10. i have got an 8 week old kit and 3 adults, i've had her for a week on friday and i introduced them slowly, on the first day i let 1 ferret at a time into the kitchen to check each other out...after meeting all 3 ferrets i put her in the outhouse to meet them all at the same time and 1 of the hobs was a little rough with her but she didnt seem to mind and she kept going back and jumping on him and trying to get his attention again asking for more rough play i suppose...then i just let her play with them longer and longer each day, but always with me supervising..today they all had a good but qu
  11. i went ferreting with a family friend in about 1989-91 and always wanted to go with him after that, my mum wouldn't let me have any ferrets at her house so lost interest in them for a few years...now i have got my own place and 4 ferrets and want to go ferreting again!!

Mine is about the same age and she is getting very naughty now, Only had her since Friday and she's getting confident now..She's living in the house with me at the minute because my other 3 ferrets are still a bit to rough for her...anything she can climb or crawl into she will....and she's going through more chicken thighs than a KFC addict

  15. I have just been to see to my ferrets and my jill is throwing up...It looks like the remains of a slug that she is trying to get out of her system. Is this anything to worry about or is it something that they do? Dean

  18. give mine fish of all variety's from time to time, they seem to like it alot....however the smell when it comes from the other end is nothing to be desired
  19. Just wondering if there is a certain age that a kit has to be before they go into the court with the older ferrets, should i introduce them slowly? cheers Dean

  24. Yes i will be very cautious with them and she accepted the other hob just fine but you never know do you! she is only tiny and as soft as a brush so i'l just see how they get on
